    huh?

Both Tualatin Indoor and Portland futsal are 'full' up with teams from 7 years old to High School each of their 2 winter sessions. How this break downs into divisions or leagues per age group, gender, futsal or Indoor team is different each year. As there are only so many games a facility can host with one or two fields.

I imagine if a handful of u13 or u14 boys teams sign up early at either of these places they will get in and have a league. If not they may find another place that has room for the teams. Also most youth teams tend to sign up for just 1 session of indoor or futsal as the OPL 'spring' league play begins for many teams in Mid february. So in the end these places do have over 200+ different teams over 2 sessions, with new teams coming in during the second session as many of the winter I teams migrate to outdoors and don't continue playing indoor/futsal.

I believe it would be nice if a group of coaches/managers got on the same page and signed up at the same indoor place to create leagues they really wanted to play in.

It's really a crapshoot as to where teams end up playing indoor in the PDX area. Thx

any ideas where we could find good competition? where do the PDX teams play?

        Try these facilities:
        Salem Indoor Soccer
        MJCC Indoor Soccer
        Tualatin Indoor Soccer & Futsal
        Sherwood Old Town Field House
        Portland Futsal
        Beaverton Indoor
        SoccerPlex
        Indoor Goals
        Oregon Soccer Center
        Salmon Creek Indoor
        Clark County Indoor
        B2B Indoor
        Oregon Premier futsal

Some offer the Ice Hockey Rink Indoor Soccer game, others offer the Indoor Soccer-Futsal game.

        All the best.

Regarding futsal, I found it to be fantastic for my DD in terms of skills and confidence on the ball. She has always had good skills, but in futsal she really applied them so much more than she did in outdoor. She is really, really confident on the ball now in outdoor and I attribute that to playing futsal. I now need for my BB to have the same transformation as he plays more of an outdoor game in futsal.

futsal has also been a great 'teacher' for my dd's, it does what a coach or playing on your own can't. Quick decisions and lots of touches in a competitive environment vs. the outdoor game which is great but you don't get as many touches and decisions on the field with the ball.
