    The end of SCA

Can’t get into an Oregon league and parents/players are refusing to keep traveling to play in WPL. Their top boys are hoping to join UPDX for BECNL. Should be interesting to see where they land.

But their boys all think they should play up 1-3 years because of the garbage that SCA has fed them. Will they agree to play on age at UPDX? That will be the only way in.

It will be a humbling experience for sure.

What is weird though is that SCA has a number of players that are quite good. Real high quality. I don't think this is the end bby any means though as they have an excellent coaching staff with a cult like following.... Like Subaru.

OP, which SCA age group are you referring to? Why would anyone go to United when they have like more than three teams for each age group? Who wants to leave SCA and possibly be placed on one of United's second teams just because they might play in ECNL? And who wants to play boot ball in games with totally subpar, boring practices. No thanks!

Who told you that? SCA kids are continuing.

Not OP, but even if they are put on the updx boys “B” team it is likely that team would still be in the premier gold bracket of OYSA. It will be better competition than they are getting in WPL and won’t have to spend their weekends in Spokane.

Only the uPDX A team is dumb enough to spend weekends in Spokane!

(If you're daft enough to turn it over in front of goal like that, mate, I'll gladly score the tap-in!)

But you are not getting the same coaching at UPDX. So you’re willing to sacrifice quality coaching for mediocre games that are local. Let’s see how your son likes the practices at UPDX. I’ve heard that they are mind-numbingly boring. I don’t know where you live, but if you live in Vancouver or in Portland, you may still be doing a lot of driving just to get to 3-4 practices on the West side.

Just looking at their Instagram account and seeing that they mostly have videos and pictures of their girls’ teams. Maybe they are moving in the direction of becoming a girls only soccer club. I don’t know much about their boys’ teams or the boys’ coaches going off their Instagram.

United PDX is the Walmart of local soccer.
Those support get the Walmart experience with a BADGE.

                            Good stuff.

Isn’t it interesting that SCA players can come over and take spots from UPDX players?

Consider that UPDX has been spewing all the great things they are doing yet little SCA has out developed them some of them.

                              says a lot.
