    FC Portland ECNL

I almost feel bad posting this ...

FC Portland Girls ENCL Current Standings:

    U-13s: 0-10-0 Goals for: 0 Goals Against: 65
    U-14s: 0-10-0 Goals for: 1 Goals Against: 52
    U-15s: 5-4-1 Goals for: 19 Goals Against: 18
    U-16s: 0-10-0 Goals for: 1 Goals Against: 46
    U-17s: 0-8-2 Goals for: 5 Goals Against: 28
    U-19s: 0-10-0 Goals for: 6 Goals Against: 40

Total: 5-52-3 Goals for: 32 Goals Against: 249

Should they do right by their families and players and just pull out of ECNL next year?

Certainly, they can't say this is good for 'player development' can they?

I think FC Portland should stay in the ECNL. This way the rest of us have something to laugh at. 5-52-3 and every win is coming from one age group. My favorite stat is out of 60 games they have been scored on 249 times. That means about every 15 to 20 minutes an FC Portland ENCL girls gets scored on while they are playing. On the bright side....sorry I can't think of a bright side. Oh wait it just came to me. On the bright side they are not Bridge City.

Merge with Bridge City, pull out of ECNL, participate in GAL. Someone tell me how that doesn’t make sense other than negatively affecting paychecks for adults.

Is this for real?! Do you realize how bad this is if it is real? never mind the number 1 reason for players to quit is never winning but severe lack of success is exactly what you’d guess.

Failure. On all counts. Other than your goalie who likely isn’t learning how to play offense, the girls players on the entire side of fc Portland are not learning anything when it comes to offense or the ball.

they are literally paying 10k a year to be cones for better teams to pass around.

        this isn’t ok.

They would be the same in GA. Cannon fodder for the top 5 teams in the league.

It really couldn't be any worse. Shocking to me that parents pay for this and travel to showcases to get killed. This is just the NW Conference results.

It’s terrible. I’ll be surprised if they stay in business next year.

Didn’t an FC Portland player recently get recruited to play for the Beavers? That’s quite good result.

How did Tiffany Milbrett, a Clive Charles protégé, end up at NW Elite and not take over at FC. These are the decisions that routinely set FC back. They have a career english guy that has done nothing since coming to FC running the program instead of going after a female that has played at the highest level.

Playing at the highest level doesn’t automatically mean they are fit to manage a club or program.

FC Portland was built on former UP players. They have gotten away from who they are. Pretty sad.

That FC is gone. No name coaches, british accents, and low quality level of play. Even FC alum won't claim the current club. Times have passed. Not in any order, but the girls clubs of today are Thorns, UPDX, and NW Elite. FC is just another state team with overpriced coaches. Time to move on.

What happened to FC. Is it really the leadership/coaching or is it too many teams in close proximity? These results are depressing. Those poor kids.

Could they move? To the eastside?
