Hard to say. Many attempt to brush off Bend FC's claims as being baseless, vindictive, a waste of time, etc. However, if you read the content of the text messages Bilanski, Davin and others are alleged to have exchanged (on Bend FC issued phones) while in the process of allegedly deleting the content of Bend FC's IT system ("yea let it burn baby"), it's hard to imagine them getting off scott free.

They are all paying, out the nose, in attorney fees. The lawsuit was filed in late 2021 and now looks to have a trial scheduled in May 2025. Hundreds of thousands of dollars in fees and costs. Collectively, almost certainly more than a million in fees charged, over a dispute about YOUTH SOCCER! Sheesh.

I believe that's what Apex tried to do. But the way Bilanski and others supposedly attempted to burn Bend FC down while walking out the door (allegedly transferring and then deleting the club's files) would not have been a wise way to start fresh.

That's putting it mildly. Also putting it mildly is the post about Bilanski and Bend FC paying out the nose in attorney fees. It wasn't covered in the news, but Bilanski filed a defamation lawsuit against Bend FC, arguing that the accusations against her were baseless. She lost that lawsuit and ended up with a judgment against her of more than $100K.

It is likely that these two clubs have insurance that would cover lawsuits, but I am not sure if there would be coverage for either. So yeah, who is paying the bill? Really seems like a ******* contest. Everyone is getting wet here. Are there any other decent club options in Bend area?

I heard this lawsuit is scheduled to go to a 3 week trial that starts May 5 of next year! Almost certainly will be happening during tryouts. Will be fun times in Bend. Maybe someone will start a new club, with a selling point being "we're the only Club in town that isn't using your dues to pay our lawyers."
