Yes, kudos, for completely surrendering any concept of player development and putting your jersey on another clubs teams for results. Is this ****ing serious? How are they even allowed in GA other than the fact that they have Boxx on staff and can pay their bills for the time being? Complete joke of the league allows that.

Not sure CU counts as an ECNL group for long:

Gotta ask, why you so mad? Who cares, I guarantee this group does a better job of player development then anyone else in this city. You will live… promise…

Don’t think you can call it ‘player development’ when you are bringing in an entire team of players from out of state to pretend they play for your club.

Exactly it’s a joke. Good for the kids from Boise, ridiculous for girls from Portland.

Bridge City had one win against the 2 Spokane GA clubs. Almost across the board losses in every age group. Awesome player “development.” Spokane barely has two hundred thousand people but someone teams from 2 clubs can beat Bridge City. Going to be a long year. Nowhere to go but up I guess. Putting jerseys on kids from 8 hours away sounds like a super sustainable philosophy and great development mindset.

Before we crown Westside Timbers, errrr Thorns the best option shouldn't they at least be dominating the lowly NWEFC? Didn't happen and I think the leadership at NWEFC has a clear direction and understanding of the landscape now that KL is gone. All Westside Timbers has is a logo and PTFC gear. I think Portland can support two quality ECNL teams.

                09 Thorns 2-0
                08 Tie 0-0
                07 Tie 2-2
                06 NWEFC 1-0
                05 Tie 1-1
                04/03 NWEFC 5-2

Not a lot to brag about for NWEFC. Wasn't it just a year ago that they swept Thorns? And a strong goal differential. Either Thorns are getting better or NWEFC is getting worse. These results are not a bragging point for NWEFC. Just shows they're slipping. Like him or not, legg was the reason for past success.

This is your victory and NWEFC direction post? LOL, To call out KL is dumb, THORNS still best choice now for up and coming talent.

Thorns has the name resources and direction. Best kids in city should be going Thorns direction and building a soccer power that will attract opportunities for our best players.

CU used to have this ability and attraction for best players, but has lost the Value Proposition for PDX best players time/efforts. 03/04 group is last true CU style group left.

Stop buying into the BS of the Portland clubs.
These Eastside and Westside clubs are on the phones all day recruiting each others players. Using those willing to purchase a spot as financiers of their clubs.
GO play in actual grassroots leagues. See how well your OYSA teams do in the hispanic leagues in Oregon alone.

                      They will get beat.

I love you Thorns honks. Thorns Academy has been around for what, 5 years now and it's always "just you wait and see. We will start dominating ... any minute now." First it was, "we are better b/c DA is better than ECNL." Then it was, "once we get into ECNL we will crush (then) CU because the DA was so hard." Now, it's "the tide is turning and our terrible older age groups are aging out". But the results never quite follow. Why is that? Maybe the two ECNL clubs are just settling into a nice rivalry.

I don't know that they swept the Thorns last year. They played 3 times because of Covid. KL had gone as far as he was going to or capable of.

This is true. Best in PNW and a top twenty ECNL Club. That was probably the best he could do.
