Then why don't you step up and manage the team instead of complaining and and telling us how great your daughter is.

Not sure that is possible they seem to be into everything including managing odp and recruiting for Kony.

Why does everyone put so much emphasis on summer tournaments? I know for our team we were missing 4 defenders and we had girls playing defense who have never played there before. Half our A team was missing and we pulled from our B team and had our U14s playing too. Summertime is a dumb time to start judging team strength when half the girls are on vacation.

This is a complete lie. We've played every team in this tournament many times and not one team was missing half of their players. A few teams had guest players but they were good, quality guest players from the state champs.

I have a feeling this is an FC parent trying to make things up because their team didn't produce as everyone thought they would. You had a full bench, most of your starters and Usonians helping out. What more do you want?

Pretty sad when a U14 team comes in and wins our U15 tournament. Wake up U15's!

You should rename Onyx as the Oregon U14 team. Just like some of the other good teams at various age brackets. Besides Onyx, there is really no other U14 team. Other age groups in Oregon got the clue to put a majority of the best players on one team. The U15 group hasn't figured this out. There is an opportunity this year for that to happen. Hopefully it does.

OK this "good quality guest player" thing is getting really creepy. Obviously all these posts are from the same dad. We all know the guest players and we can cancel out two of them which leaves, yes you. So knock it off. Your dd is not that quality. I have no idea which player you are referring to as I'm not the person you responded to but I do agree that the guest players the teams had were all good. It wasn't like they were picking up kids from the B team. These players came from one of the top U15 teams in Oregon.

Absolutely. People come on here and talk about who had what guest players, at what tournament, and that's why they won or advanced... it's BS. Truth is, there is a core on a team, usually a solid 8-9 players, and it can be enhanced with a guest, but a single guest won't turn any team into the Champion of anything. It's an interesting time of year... when you decide to try out, and where, think about what a team has accomplished, where they are headed, the quality and commitment of the players, and what a club can do to help your player on the college coach radar. At this age, players are either good, or they're not. It's time for the girls to own their success, and to use the clubs to get where they want.
