THUSC has two good u11 boys teams this year. They retained their top boys from the u10s.
Not true. Whoever posted that THUSC players went to WST was not lying.

Sounds like VUSA and WSA may have gotten better to be in the thick of it. Sounds like FC was barely able to field a team. Not much commentary on OSA, River, or LO. Assuming they stayed about the same, you make have Eastside, Westside, WSA, VUSA, and River fighting out. I think next year WSA/VUSA will combine players that may change dynamics as well.

Any teams or clubs from the Silver division that will come on strong?
Actually OSA had the 2nd best U-10 team and both of their "B" teams went undefeated in the Fall or Spring. OSA had plenty of players in house and didn't have to recruit anyone. Kept all 12 returning players and added 4 players from undefeated "B" teams. Should be better than most, except EASTSIDE.

You are right, I saw that OSA team a couple times. Very good team! If they stayed in tact they will be good again. So depending on the outcome of the THUSC debate on weather players went to WST or not, you are probably looking at Eastside, OSA, WST as strong candidates. And then maybe you have River, VUSA, WSA, and THUSC with potential that we don't know about yet that could disrupt the first 3 mentioned.

They have 2 "good" teams no "great" teams. Will be middle to low pack of U-11. Probably fighting off relegation with FC Portland!

That is probably right on. I think Westside is going to be very improved moving into u11. Eastside, OSA, and Westside will be tough. These are the top players at their clubs where 60+ kids tried out for their age group. There is a lot of talent out their on all the Premier teams.

I heard 50-60 at U11B tryouts at WSA and the premier team has a strong makeover from last year. I heard VUSA had 80+ kids at U11B, but there was debate on whether they were making a top Premier team or 5/6 evenly distributed kids. It will interesting to see how they fit into the mix.

Wow that is great for all involved, parents, players, coaches, and the game of soccer. The amount of talent at this beginning level is immense and a lot of fun to see. Good luck to all clubs this upcoming year!

This is the way a thread should work. Although there was a little bit bit of animosity with the THUSC / WST debate and where top players ended up, for the most part I perused through the thread and learned a ton. I'm excited for the games to get started!

So far the Cascade tournament is showing Westside A team is slightly better than Eastside A team. Was anyone at the game? What did you think?

That is interesting. I think Eastside was the front runner as the top team in the age group going into the summer based on last year's results but people said that Westside picked up some players onto an already good team.

That is what I thought too. I heard that westside picked up some good players and some not so good players. Are they just playing the top players and leaving the rest on the bench or are they all top players?

I went on the Cascade Cup website and it looks like only 3 clubs are playing in the U11 Boys. Which tournament will have a better showing?

                                PCU classic is the one

The upcoming PCU summer classic will be THE tournament this summer for U11B in this area.
Looking at their website, the list of teams registered (so far) looks very strong.
NWCL qualification and OPL seating is what's at stake for this age-group.
