      8. LO
      9. FC Portland

Eastside the class of the group, a drop off after 4 as Westside was good but never could beat the top teams, huge drop off after them compared to the top. Could all change for u11 but probably pretty similar.
Upcoming U11B at WST is very strong this year with new additions from other clubs. They will move up for sure. BTW, I heard VUSA Timbers will join OPL for the next season and I am expecting them to be on the top group as well.

THUSC coach resigned, and half of the team went to WST (top players)

Last April THUSC Titanium beat OSA Red, beat WSA in Fall and Fireballs during Summer, 10-1 vs LO.[/QUOTE]

Yeah, I agree. That THUSC team had talent. They were not a top half Gold team last year, but any given day they could give the best a run. I wonder how that team faired at tryouts and the outlook.

Plus, we all have to remember that at this young age, kids eb and flow month to month. This year kids' growth and development could have shifted in strange ways and large ways!

Yes, but what I look for is consistency. Any team at this age group in the top division can beat another team based on the fact they are all 9-10 year olds. Also if a team has 2-3 top players missing in a game of 8v8 that team can beat a team above them, but it doesn't mean they are better than that team. THUSC by way of consistency is rated about 5-7, which is a good spot. Could beat teams ahead of them, could lose to teams below them.

Last year THUSC only lost against Eastside and beat the Fireballs two times in the league.

This must be a THUSC parent, but THUSC got hammered at Director's cup which is when teams are playing at their best with all their players. THUSC finished last in their group to FIREBALLS, RIVERPLATE, WESTSIDE, THUSC. EASTSIDE then beat Fireballs 4-3 in semi-finals and OSA beat RIVERPLATE 8-1 in other semi-finals. Finals 6-3 EASTSIDE. THUSC is a good team, but with the best of the best they finished last in their group.

I agree with you at the Directors Cup, but THUSC was missing 3 top players. In the league beat WSA 7-2, OSA Red, NEU 8-0, LO 10-1, beat Fireballs twice, tied WST....

                    Lost to Eastside

You guys know that River Plate depends on only one player.

As a THUSC parent, is it true that the top players went to WST? Does THUSC have a solid U11?

Coming from 8x8 to 11x11 takes a new level for the kids development. One player might be an impact player on 8x8 but not on 11x11 and a full size field especially if he is a dribbler.

THUSC is a good team, now with FIREBALLS gone could be top 4 team. THUSC's top 5-6 players are as good as WST, OSA, or EASTSIDE, it just seemed to drop off a little but after that. Hence they would struggle if they lost a few players. EASTSIDE and OSA have less a drop off players after the top 6 or so. Did THUSC lose some players to Westside at try-outs, I had heard this but wasn't sure.

So from reading all the posts, it sounds like Eastside will be the team to beat merging with Fireballs. It sounds like WST got better gaining top THUSC players, should be very strong. Sounds like VUSA and WSA may have gotten better to be in the thick of it. Sounds like FC was barely able to field a team. Not much commentary on OSA, River, or LO. Assuming they stayed about the same, you make have Eastside, Westside, WSA, VUSA, and River fighting out. I think next year WSA/VUSA will combine players that may change dynamics as well.

Any teams or clubs from the Silver division that will come on strong?

So many liars on this blog. Most from WST. Lairs.

THUSC has two good u11 boys teams this year. They retained their top boys from the u10s.
