We went to Pacific's GU13 last week. There were 60+ girls there. Tons of my daughter's former teammates at VUSA. Fun to practice on Turf at Prairie High School. The Head Coach said they are forming 5 teams.

At the Timbers will select and premier have different prices this year or will it be $939 for all?

Will depend on the age group and numbers. So true A and B premier teams will pay the $939 +

If age has good numbers, I have seen a third or even 4th "lower level premier" that is around $600 +

Then what they deem select would be more like $350.00 +

I am kind of guestimating on those last two-but in that range.

            $991 for premier, $215 for select ($165 if don't need winter turf/lights)

Tournaments and jersey kit extra for both

So guess all this seemless soccer stuff will not take place this year.

Does this include OPL registration? Player Cards? Summer Tournament Registrations? State Cup Registration? Spring OPL registration?

Just curious. I know these were all an add on cost the last time we played Select (we took a year off last year). Do they add on for Premier, too?

Fees include everything except kit and tournaments. League fees, player registration fees, ref fees, fields, state cup, coaching salaries, DoC salaries, admin, etc are all included.

Premier fees include both fall and spring leagues while Select includes only fall league.

Actually troll is was 25 or so. I hope you took your kid to pacific because either you were stalking from behind a tree or your kid won't make either team.

                    Fun Fact:

5-10 girls gone because of track and if that kick around was to include the entire age group, they would be at 50-60. Don't let this pacific troll fool you. Pacific wants to make 5 teams but only has 2 coaches for it.

Lets be honest, top 20 of VUSA decimate top 20 for pacific, after that its just select and rec level players.

Fun for sure to practice on turf but lets be honest. Pacific's GU-13 team won't see five minutes on that turf for training. Period.

                        Not the prior poster--however
That is one age at VUSA, I would not be bragging about. I like the coaches at that age--Justin and Phike (sp) but they do have an overall weak age. Mabye they will get some fall out from the SC team.

We've decided to try out for Pacific this year. It's a new experience. We'll see how it goes. My daughter's team has fallen apart and if I have to try a new coach anyway, I will try and let her play with her friends.

Two of the GU13 teams have reserved Kingsway turf 1 day per week for the year. All of their spring games were on Prairie HS turf.

Wise choice. You running from SC or VUSA?

From VUSA. Not running, things were fine there. No complaints. However, I've heard good things about the Pacific program, the fees seem to be less, and my daughter's friends are there.

Since we haven't made the team there yet, I can't say whether the move will be for the better or worse. We'll see.

Hey lets not get this started. With the merger and SC just about done, there is no reason two clubs cannot get along. Except what each one is. Pacific great select and a good option for some players and if Pacific has some top tier players, they should seriously look at feeding them into VUSA top A or B teams.

With only two clubs and at different levels there will be plenty of kids for both. It's a good time for SW Washington soccer--don't ruin it.
