Seriously though the competition is to weak in OR so I hope we stay in the Washington RCL. Definately more travel involved but I believe our A teams would get bored and regress playing in the OPL.
If you want to run with the big dogs from Seattle you have to play them on a consistent basis. Not the one off NWCL. And Oregon ... we know how that went for ya the past couple years. Doh! Surprised the NWCL is even letting four Oregon teams in. After one ... maybe two ... the competition falls off dramatically.
What's funny is I know of a couple of VUSA "A" teams that didn't finish #1 in the OPL but I do have credible info that those teams had guest players from youngers and they moved players constantly up and down....which isn't typical of OPL teams because results outweigh development.

I'm not sure how you expected people to react to this. I'm seriously not at all offended by this, I guess if it was said by someone I respected it might sting. But mainly I just feel sorry for you.

        Vancouver

All the Vancouver kids come to Portland play sooner or later, better to have them stay in Vancouver and play in the Vancouver Timbers org and the OPL

Funny looking at the 8 Boys champs in the NWCL 4 oregon 4 washington (no vancouver)

I think the dog VUSA is running with in Seattle caught VUSA and ate them.

          VUSA and WSA

The bad news is it is still VUSA and WSA. Not a lot of talent and poor coaching.

Hard to find VUSA at the top of any tables in Oregon or Wasington.

That was then .... the future will look much differently.
The only Vancouver kids that will migrate south will be those that can't cut it ... Mommy & Daddy that want their DK to be on an A squad. The only teams A squads they'll make will be an Oregon club.

As the Vancouver Timbers U12's and younger cyle thru they won't even consider Oregon as an option. As for the comments about inferior coaching ... that's ridiculous. Oregon has most of the bafoons. We have to look to Seattle for our new coaches ... as we reject the majority of OR applications.

              SC sucks

Dude, please relax on the merger. It is youth soccer, just let the merger play out and do not take it that seriously. You are kind of embarrasing us Vantuckians (sp)

You really do not know how it is going to affect RCl or OPL play--so let it go until it happens.

I believe THUSC Zirconium made it to the semi's of NWCL and not VUSA. I also believe WUSC Arsenal and THUSC Onyx not only ran with the best WA has to offer but beat them as well. Onyx also did better then any WA team at Surf Cup.

Glad that VUSA has their sights set on beating the Seattle teams. Oregon on the other hand has their sights much, much higher.

Anybody can cherry pick 1 or 2 teams from this club or that to try to make their point. What would be interesting is to see the results of a club vs club competition where the "A" teams from each club in each age group play each other. Doubtful that any one club would win every game but there are some clubs that may have 1 or 2 really good teams that would not win very many games across the entire spectrum.

What would be the point of that? Are you building little kingdoms? My impression was our focus was the kids. Building the best teams so the kids can develop and grow to their ultimate potential. I just don't get how a club to club showdown would create any value at all. Perhaps for parent bragging rights, but c'mon now if you are basing your ego on "my youth soccer club" vs "Your youth soccer club" you are truly pathetic.

On the girls side, I'd say THUSC is the overall better club. In regards to the boys side, WSM is definitely the better club. Not just one or two teams from each club...

What's so funny about these comments from VUSA parent(s) is that when their thoughts don't come to fruition after talking all this trash...then what? Oh that's right...a bunch of excuses.

                            All,

These are not true VUSA parents posting the "we're the best" posts...I am a part of the VUSA family and this is not the mentality of the club that I have children playing for...some of these comments are pretty rediculous!

One more time we DON'T care how screwed up you are in Vantucky. We have our own problems and just don't care to have the top of our state page dominated by a bunch of whiners who tolerate a biting coach and gutless DOC's.
