No on Hudson and not sure on Fish? (Not sure what that is)
Delta Park isn't a temporary solution...it will be a permanant solution along with building their own fields at Harmony.

you did this out of your choice...I have emails from throughout the year stating when and where goalkeeper training is...I never paid a dime.

My understanding is goal keeper training is included in premier, but not included with select.

Individuals don't pay ... each team does. I believe it's a mandatory additional fee for all premier teams. Your team paid you just don't know it (if you're premier)

I don't even know what VUSA and WSA are. I am assuming that WSA is Washington Soccer Academy? What are the premier teams? What club are the Timbers from? Sorry about the ignorance I am just very unfamiliar.

It was reiterated at last week's Advanced Comp meeting that GK training is included in the player fees (just like DoC salaries) and you might as well use it as you're paying for it anyways.

Yep ... sorry if you took temporary from my post. By short term I meant within a year to 16 months for Dpark. Harmony unfortunately is farther off than anyone wants. I've heard of the "sponsor" $$. VUSA money / Grant / Sponsor $ doesn't get us to 1 mil and that seems to be the go-no go point with another $1.8needed. This will take awhile folks .... justlike we were supposed to be well into contruction by now ..... we're a couple years away from breaking ground, at best.

Nope...I am a manager of two premier teams and know where our team funds move...
we have never paid for goalkeeper training...it is part of the $939 fee.

bottomline...the price to play in SW Washington is about the same...you get more for a little less at VUSA and that is a fact!

people come on here and complain that VUSA may only charge you $939 but it ends up being $1500 after tournaments and travel..

I would say you are exactly right...those numbers are correct without any fundraising...

but my question would be...if you are at FCSC or WSA and you are going to tournaments also...wouldn't you be paying for travel and tourney expenses too?

this difference in this area is that VUSA has a system in place that carrys through the older agegroups....how many GU17 teams are there at FCSC? WSA????

VUSA GU-14's are 5 teams deep....what other club can build agegroups like that?

And if VUSA is sooooooooooooo bad....why do they have the most teams? Why do they have consistent "B" teams at most age groups?

If it's soooo bad at VUSA then why are they successful?

I love the individuals who come on here and bash VUSA who is providing the best product in SW Washington...no one else provides half of what VUSA provides.

I have heard for atleast the last 8 years how these turf fields would be hear soon, or its closer than you think. Think about all the money that has been donated and still nothing,WOW! A couple years ago they had a matching grant for building fields at harmony yet they just could not seem to come up with thier half. People Vusa has been saying turf fields are coming soon for years, but I would not hold your breath. Of course they will eventually have turf, just do not be dumb enough to buy the hipe, or some new spin they are thowing at you. JUST THE SONNY SPIN MACHINE AT WORK!
                              Is any of this true.

VUSA has not taken donations spefically for turf fields until this year, as there is now a concrete plan in place....and for your edification, the turf fields that are being built a Luke Jensen Ball fields are being done so with a US Soccer grant secured by, you guessed it, VUSA. They could have kept the money for Harmony, but to do so would have forced them to move dirt sooner than they were able and put the club in a debt situation they wanted to avoid. There is an entire team working hard at getting the Turf Fields built at Harmony without having to raise player fees. Is it going as quickly as they hoped, no. But is it going, yes. And in all of my years associated with the club, they have always been forthright in their desire to have turf fields, but truthful in the timing of getting such fields. It's discussed at just about every commissioners meeting. Check the notes. Find one where they've presented an overly optimistic timeframe for completion.... you won't....

                                haters always gonna be hatin'
