Be careful when tryouts come around!

For Premier A teams, VUSA is pretty reasonable and worth your $$. You will easily end up spending over $1500 once tournaments, etc. are added in.

However, think hard before paying that for a Premier A team at WSA or SC.
Don't ever pay that for a Premier B team.

Pacific FC has stronger teams than most WSA/SC Premier A teams and ALL Premier B teams in Vancouver. They only charge $300-$400 and that covers league fees, tournament fees, field rentals, etc. for the whole year.

My oldest son made the VUSA A team and plays there. When they tried to sell my daughter on the Premier B team with the "promise of guesting with the Premier A team" it was a giant ripoff. Now she plays for Pacific and we play in a division higher than the "premier" team that she paid a fortune for.

League, state cup, referees, DoC / coaches salaries, trainers, fields are all included.
VUSA: you forgot to mention that turf "training" is included but if you want to play "games" on turf that's additional. And your turf training is shared sometimes with as many as 6 teams. All turf training ends in March.

We've never had six teams on the field at once...
now each team did stagger their starts to warmup on the side...and multiple teams would do speed and agility and run stairs afterwards....so I guess technically at a place like Kiggins Bowl there could be 6-7 teams there at once....

This was a great environment...my daughter got to move between different teams on different nights...sometimes 2-3 older and had fun training with them.

Nope....Goalkeeper training is included. Goalkeeper in fact get alot out of the deal...our goalie constantly gets to train with teams older than her.....she trains with the boys and girls 2-3 years older....the options at VUSA are endless! You could literally train Tuesday-Saturday bouncing around different agegroups/genders if you wanted.

Not true. Our VUSA team paid for the fee for our gk to attend training.

I always thought it was included. Could be wrong, our coach could have decided to pay for it out of the team funds.

But pretty sure it was included. Goalies would show up an hour early for the training and then would come to practice afterward.

Forgot to mention turf. Most times split field with only two teams and then two teams showing up and doing warm ups or laps before and afterwards. So looked like a lot but only two on the field.

I want to say once or twice had three teams sharing and maybe once with four. But usually two.

Where is VUSA at on the Turf fields? Are they still going to be located at Harmony? Or did they decide to buid at Hudson Bay? or did they decide to build at Fish Field?

                      What's the update?

VUSA is pursuing a new turf agreement at Delta Park (3 new fields) as a shorter term solution as well as the Harmony complex.
No on Hudson and not sure on Fish? (Not sure what that is)

                          Update

Both boards have approved. Now it goes to a membership vote by VUSA.
                          "deja vu all over again"

Fish fields is where vusa dumped about 100,000 grand and got no where. Vusa has time and again taken donations turf fields with promises that the fields are coming soon and each time have failed to deliver. I have heard for atleast the last 8 years how these turf fields would be hear soon, or its closer than you think. Think about all the money that has been donated and still nothing,WOW! A couple years ago they had a matching grant for building fields at harmony yet they just could not seem to come up with thier half. People Vusa has been saying turf fields are coming soon for years, but I would not hold your breath. Of course they will eventually have turf, just do not be dumb enough to buy the hipe, or some new spin they are thowing at you. JUST THE SONNY SPIN MACHINE AT WORK!

Our team paid for GK training out of our team account too ... it's not included in the base fee.

it would've been for EXTRA training then....cuz we receive emails throughout the year regarding when goalkeeper training is....
