    VUSA/WSA Merger

I'm hearing that this might be full steam ahead... If so I think this would be great for Clark County Soccer.

More in line for what is needed to become even more competitive regionally.

What does this do for FCSC? They are trying to be a Premier Club....should they retract and focus on REc/Select???? Just like Pacific FC?

It does sound like it's the real deal this time. Both club's boards want it to happen. It's arguably the best solution for the kids. Let's make sure we do it right, with respect, and with lots of communication.

Let's hope they learned from last year's mess and really carry it out this year.

And, really, who cares what this means for FCSC? The point is the resources at the top are now pooled. FCSC can still remain as a halfway-between-select-and-premier club

Well if FCSC can play nice, maybe they can join Pacific for select and run their own rec. program because that is all they are they going to be left with.

I don't think that many will want to pay 1200.00 to be on a 3rd or 4th tier team.

Well this would be without the Premier and without the DOC and his salary and without the enormous Felida Park expense. Would just be back to basics for SC--about all they are going to have anyway. And they could feed Premier kids into Timbers and select kids into Pacific.

SC will not be charging $1,200.00...Fees are the same as this year which is $1,000.00.

Actually, $1000 for Premier is about as inexpensive as you'll find in this area. VUSA is $991 for 2012-2013. Other "big" clubs in the area can be much more expensive.

What's included at VUSA & WSA in their premier fees? There are former VUSA Timber players playing on my daughter's team and they say that SC is cheaper. Yeah...the premier fees are cheaper at VUSA by $27, but it's all the hidden cost that come into play that they don't tell you about. So please enlighten us on what the Premier Costs at VUSA covers?

In a nutshell what they don't cover are: tournaments & kits.

League, state cup, referees, DoC / coaches salaries, trainers, fields are all included.

structure is the same as to what fees pay for...

VUSA does have a part time Admin that is paid
VUSA is hiring a fundraising coordinator
VUSA fees also include winter training turf with lights 2-3 nights per week from Oct1 to March 1....all for less than anyone in the area
