Oregon Spring League

Okay Oregon soccer guru's here is a question for you.

How can or can the Nemesis play in the spring league? I know that some league games might conflict with our state cup, but couldn't those be reschedule with the other teams agreement? If no agreement Nemesis forfeits and takes the loss.

Any thoughts?

There could be 3 weekends of games that would conflict with your state cup. You would have to play in silver and then it would depend on when your tryouts are, if they are still in March then if you have any new players they would be guess players. I don't even know if they allow Washington teams play in the spring, though I think I have seen Heartbreaker do it.

Do you know if we could request the Timbers spot in gold? How do they determine Gold and Silver for spring league?

The eight teams left in the state cup are in the gold bracket. So we will know next weekend who is playing in the Spring leaque Gold Bracket. A lot of the girls play on basketball team so the spring league usually the teams are not playing with their full roster.

I wouldn't waste your time with Spring League. First off, your team will probably play in the silver bracket which won't have the competition you want, making up games can be extremely difficult, OYSA won't let you just forfeit without fining you a pretty good sum of money, and lastly it's more about wiping off the cobwebs and getting ready for quarterfinals than trying to win at all costs.
