For the last time Hater, the kids had a right to walk. Things were run poorly. So they follow the first guy who was fired? The guy who forgot to order uniforms? That makes sense.
Parents just need to order a healthy plate of crow and get their kid back into the pipeline for DA or ECNL. That is all it takes folks. Admit you followed the wrong piper and come back to the club that can get your kid in the development channel to play professionally. If they can't go that far, they can at least get a college education.
See the difference? With OCYS, college is the fallback plan? Now do you get it?
^^^Wow. Finally somebody demonstrates just how potent the Koolaid really is. You guys are brainwashed into actually believing your Mini-Chinny will be the next minimum-wage MLS "star".
And a college education is "secondary".
Nice. Thanks for the honesty.

Yeah, that's all you gotta do. Just write your checks and leave the rest to your English Masters. In return, you might get your kid a partial at Stetson or even Flagler. Aim high, Lions!

Do you really want that for your kid?
So, many dream that they will play professional soccer, but do you really want that for your kid. Just think of all the current OC players. They are all good players that are chasing the dream. They work very hard and sacrifice every day to get better. However, every one of them make less than I did while co-oping. In addition, no one currently at OC will ever make as much as I make. And it's not just me, it is almost every parent out there who graduated with a BS degree. So, knowing that OC will put maybe one or two youth kids in the MLS over its lifetime, do you really want those odds for your kid. Also, keep in mind that college is OCs "backup plan". If you show any hope whatsoever, they will put a fork in going to college right out of high school.
As for my family, college is the primary goal and the backup plan is playing beyond college, only after the degree is earned. So, thing long and hard about the path you encourage your kid to take because you are playing with their future.

They want to cull through a thousand kids to find the one pro-player prospect. The rest are unnecessary. Keep sending the checks in though.

I've been reading through the various OC threads this morning, and I noticed a pattern; it seems like OC supporters make a lot of excuses for problems.
last year they said problems were HM's fault, but they fired a bunch of OC people, too. Then they said it was the loudmouth parents' fault, but all those people left. It seems the DA is struggling and losing players, and we hear that's "normal". The ECNL program is getting creamed, and people say it's because other clubs took players and they haven't had enough time to develop the program. FKK is bragging about players committing to college, and OC people say it's because they were developed by OC before they left.
Now OC has MLS- which should be a great thing for the youth club- but it's going to take 2 years to get going. Some are saying they're going to to NWSL, too. that would be good, but also in the distant future.
seems like it's always "someone else's fault" and "wait til next year".

I am glad all Orlando team are getting better and doing well. There were many levels if competition there and opportunities for all to be successful. College opportunities come from exposure and competition. I think Orlando city will be successful as well simply on exposure and name. To say otherwise is niave. Other clubs will be successful too but in a differen way.

A director or leader from OC seems to always point the finger of blame. The drama never ends at OC. OC should try to create their own product ( Players ) instead of stealing from others and then pointing the finger at others to blame. Deep inside OC must feel ashamed and have a deep sense of guilt for the way they have treated the community.
