I am amazed at the boys side. I actually saw the club outweighing the name of a coach or politics of parents. The players that came out this week and last week are really quite amazing. I think with DA, this year over last, the draw has improved. If rush has a similar depth, it is going to be so bright for the boys DA and future for the boys side.Comment

No, the best the directorship has is 1) telling children that it is unfair to ocys coaches if they (the child) tryout at another club, 2) asking children to name better coaches outside the clubin the same age group, and 3) if they did not accept a "b" team offer last night, the spot would be given to a "c" team player. I know i have only a limited perspective- because I only have a single player to be concerned about- but I can say that last night fully 40% of my kid's OC team and 60% of the other OC team in the same age group committed to FKK, including the core of the defenses and midfields. Combined with FCA and Maitland kids, this should roster two solid teams.
Probably different with other age groups- some more, some less. But since FKK is a startup, ANY kids the club rosters takes from other clubs- especially OC. I think when things settle and everyone has signed, we'll see FKK has had a pretty decent first year tryout.Comment

I would agree- but as we saw all year in 2012, the English tend to make a lot of promises. Especially around tryout time. As parents we all want to believe every positive thing we hear.
