The higher competitive teams require much more from a coach. The new coach Harrington covered Bubb's team this past weekend because Bubb was dealing with tryouts. You need coaches with that kind of determination and willing to work as a team, who can come right in and take over another coach's game plan with quality. The games were three hours away and Harrington spent two days dedicated to another team. ECNL will demand higher licensed coaches willing to spend much time on the road.

It is hard to evaluate an outside player in one or two days, and it is important to do the research before tryouts. If able, players could practice with the team or do ecnl clinics. FESA should hold ECNL and nonECNL (for other league teams) clinics side by side next year. Florida Elite evaluates its player the entire year and it knows where its players fall. I saw some amazing players from outside the club out at tryouts who were not offered and it does bother me. FESA should be finding a way to take talented players even if it means having larger rosters or larger age group pools with teams training together and scrimmaging together more often.

Actually to get better, a club must not just think about doing better but think different too. Entire industries have failed because they didn't innovate. In club's leaders planning sessions , they can't just say how they can be better or more profitable, they must also ask how can they be different. FESA is like that enterprising club that is coming along and making it much harder for JFC to suck the talent away as it once did. FESA, get going early on the preseason calendar of in house training and scrimmages, the preseason international tournament, NPL and the Composite ECNL teams southeast tournament in Palm Coast, the Recreation tournament, the next semi pro teams to play at the Saint Johns complex, the athletic indoor training facility to come-get it booked for FESA before its built. Build it differently and better, and they will come.

If he is yelling, then perhaps he should only direct.

FESA should come up with new ideas for its meetings, not the just the same old nutrition/injury prevention meetings and sermons. Make the players feel the motivation of One club and building a better club. Is there a theme FESA can take on for each different year? Watch a short motivational video where each team can carry on the motivation theme during the year, and we are not talking about the Icelandic clap although I suppose a video and story about the success could have been turned into a truly motivational theme for FESA.

You're kidding right? Is this an ISIS convention or a soccer club? How about teaching good soccer? That is a novel idea...

Do you see other sports carry on the way FESA does? Can you see baseball having E:60 promotional videos? Softball doing a made for TV movie about 'the little train that could' starring the girls from the U10 Lady Bugs?

You people are borderlining on the absurd.

BTW- the Deadline for the short stories on 'How SB changed my life' are due Monday April 10th. Be sure is postmarked in time and you "Submission Donation" is attached.

A dynamic leader is essential. The town hall meetings have to be different. Put up a power point of the progress, visuals of how FESA is different and better, a new theme to carry and bring together the teams at different locations. Leaders must follow through on their words.
Bubb says players will have the chance to travel abroad to play with an international team. Who's going? It can't be all hype but show it. When you go out to FESA's fields and training , you should feel the culture and see the coaches and players is amazing action. The south suburbs of Jacksonville is where the biggest growth is occurring and Florida Elite (Creeks Soccer Club, Jacksonville Youth Soccer Club) is now also Palm Coast and World Golf Village Soccer Academy. Ponte Vedra-Nocatee communities are also served by Florida Elite. Florida Elite is working very closely with Saint Johns County Parks and Recreation to bring new fields to World Golf and the Bartram-Rivertown areas. These areas must be and feel connected as part of the progress and future. Jacksonville Youth Soccer and Creeks had each been around over twenty years with rich histories and infrastructures, and the additions of other soccer clubs like Palm Coast, Oakleaf, World Golf, and others are making an exciting network for scrimmages and sharing of resources and fields for tournaments. Parents and players need to actually see the scimmages happening between the teams. The leader must make it happen. It's not talk, and make sure it is happening. Know A teams that never scrimmaged the A teams above or below in age group and never scrimmaged the B teams. It must happen to feel One and all part of the success and progress for the future. FESA will have the U.S. Club Soccer leagues for ECNL and NPL for the boys and girls teams starting in fall 2017. As Florida Elite is new to these leagues, it has a real opportunity to come in and show itself as elite in this new stage. Find a way to train new and different and better, and to learn from any losses and to come out stronger after the first year. Can the teams do video analysis or find new ways to train to make progress in the new leagues? Give every player a mini volt soccer ball or car decal or something with a theme like Florida Elite-One Future or Florida Elite- Volt On!

Funny! But hey, we might learn a thing or two from the anonymous suggestion boards, motivational videos and the blah-blah-blah.

It sounds sacrilegious when you write it, but prayers are encouraged to liberate soccer and give it new life and inspiration.
