Especially now that 2 DOC's and more than five coaches came to FESA, bringing the kids with them.

Davis Park will be packed again soon, once FESA takes over of course.

This comment seriously makes me sick to be apart of FESA. Why is it like this?

So parents who read TS will keep their kids from trying out at the enemy's club.

Because there are leaders of our beloved FESA that are far more concerned about their own egos and axe grinding from things in the past than they are about what's best for the kids or best for N Florida soccer. Sad, but true!

Last day of tryouts at FESA, but the door is always open at FESA after tryouts if the player is talented. Anyone not making Clay DA can try to be added late. FESA ecnl rosters can hold up to 30 although they are at 18. A new player who moves to Saint Johns who is ecnl level will be added. The door is never closed for the truly talented.

Must feel good to have the teams at FESA picked. Will FESA publish on its website if there are teams/age groups needing players?

Do all clubs make you commit on the spot like FESA does? Is that the normal way of doing g things?

Once a player accepts and pays a small deposit , FESA guarantees the spot belongs to the player. The player can change his or her mind and later accept an offer at another club , but would lose the $150 deposit. Then FESA would need to find another player for the team.

Some are in regrettably tough situations but the answer is not to put 22 on a roster so four kids feel better about their situation.
With 22 players, players can get ample playing time. When a coach plays a player for ten minutes in a game it can be a coaching issue, player issue, position issue for subbing, league subbing rules, or combination. In college there are bigger rosters, and parents won't be able to complain about playing time and threaten walking.

A parent can walk a player to another team or club but without a promise of getting more playing time.

Nope, just FESA's slimy way of pressuring parents into signing on the spot. Here's a tip for you.....don't sign, and don't pay. You can come back whenever you want to and FESA will still take you. They want your $!
