Ok, I will concede that reading comprehension is NOT your strong suit.

HOW CAN A CLUB FORCE PLAYERS TO PLAY? The club is powerless if half the team quits & they have to forfeit. The club gets fined, the players are DONE in the FYSA system and leave for college.

Stick with me here, I'm typing slowly so you can sound out the words.

Even FYSA (as dense as they are) understand that the club cannot force a team that is facing certain elimination to play a game on which they want to quit. FYSA can fine the club, but the players walk away scot free.

Since you're asking these questions let's get more to the point then:
Which team is it that your daughter wanting to quit and not show up for this weekend?
Clay, Blazers or Fl.Fire Jrs?

I would say their diving coach deserves most of the credit followed by their acting coach and then their Tony Montana coach.

I agree. Players are getting bigger,stronger,faster. It is pretty obvious that more players are playing and the gradually the smaller players will get fazed out. They would have to be supreme talents to stand out over the larger players. I know people always bring up the small players like messi,maradona,etc., those are rare,rare exception players. Like in any sport, if you had to choose from two technically similar players and one was 5ft7 and the other was 6ft2, it would be safe to say that 99% of the time they would choose the taller,bigger player. Soccer is no exception. Just in today's game I could name many,many top players over 6ft. Ronaldo,Suarez,Zlatan,Toure,Bale,Benzema, list goes on and on,etc.......
Truth is that those little Weston, Kendall boys will get fazed out as they get older,and get on the big field trying to match up with more physical and athletic players. Unless, of course, they have messi like skill, and lets face it, I haven't seen a kid out with that type of skill.

How do clubs retain and/or steal players during tryouts?

How about concentrating on offering a quality product and good communication with your club members? Do that right and you will retain your players and other clubs won't be able to poach them away. Good clubs don't need to worry about this "problem" at all.

In fact, I would run away from any club where they even consider discussing this topic.

Last night Gutti gave his farewell speech to the U15/16 DA boys. He's leaving to Atlanta United to be with his new found love (family - girlfriend) and excited about his new job coaching at Atlanta United. He gave no word on who's his replacement as DA Director.

that's great and dandy but parents what to know before committing ***ing-crap is going on with the coaching staff and new director. Weston released their coaching list 2 weeks ago.
