When you consider Cumberland beat nk during the regular season, it is not such a big upset..

What I do not get in addition to the previous point about eg getting home advantage in semis is why Portsmouth has to play on 2 days rest while the other teams get 4 days off..you are saying EWG can not find 90 mins on Saturday?

ewg could probably find 90 minutes on Saturday, but when you are the higher seed, you get to decide when to play. If Portsmouth can't tough it out with 2 games in 2 days, too bad.

I agree with previous poster--SK will beat LSA. It will be low score, 1-0, maybe 2-1 in OT. Seen SK these last few matches and they want to get back to the big game. THey have what it takes, but there's a paper tiger in their way. Expect them to tear through it tomorrow night.

Not going to happen, I'm no LaSalle fan nor do I think they play any where near the talent they have on paper but SK is really bad.

D1 this year is a stew of uninspired play, mediocre defensive skills, overrated goalies, anemic offense, and poor coaching and there are no real standout teams.

TM from RIIL does not think home field is an advantage, he has stated that. EWG has not played a game in over 1 week Thurs it will be 9 days. RIIL set the quarters to be played Thur - Sun. All season they play Tues. & Thurs. do not see the big deal now.

you are asking a lot here. SK is like EWG in one way--it's a premier player carrying mostly superliga (in this case South County town team as opposed to EWG town team) players. LSA is ALL premier players. It would be a huge upset, but I agree, it is possible.

EWG played a competitive non-league game on Friday, no different than LSA or EG whose last game was on the same day (against each other). BV actually has the longest days off stretch among the top 4 seeds.

Thanks for the insight on TM; I don't know why a more basic principle of trying to have neutral mean neutral does not apply; if there were only a limited number of turf fields, I would get it (although the finals are not on turf). However, it is an easy switch between Cranston and EG fields (D1/D2 matches are on same day/same time) to add a little more neutrality without a major travel issue.

I get the point 2 days should not be a big deal, but then simply make all games on Thursday; if you are trying to boost attendance, then games should be on Saturday. If the point is it is a reward for finishing in top 4 to get an advantage in terms of scheduling q-final, then I can see that point though.

Take a cue from MH..LSA does not have an elite finisher..a 0-0 match with the ensuing shootout is a good strategy..play physical and more defensive formation with a look for quick transition..

SK has a significant number of premier players..unless you mean RAMS FC is only on par with the better town associations (which is true for most of their teams)

Sad, but accurate...although the poor coaching is a big factor for most of the other observations..
