Prout is too late..only 3 games left and 2 are likely losses so facing Cumberland in last game of the season when Cumberland may be looking at eeking out an 8 seed.. Barrington and Mt. Hope have CW still on their schedule and Barrington has TG also so strong win potentials..Coventry a big disappointment after appearing to have some momentum..
Saw Prout against EG last Friday and they have the ability to tie LaSalle if they show up and get some breaks, think they could beat Portsmouth and Cumberland. They need a lot of help but can't understand how they are in last after game vs EG.

Barrington - Mt. Hope game today has implications for the final seeds..see if Cumberland can muck it up with EWG.. LSA wins 1 to 0 over Portsmouth in another ho-hum kind of game that LSA seems to play this year with unyielding defense but little creativity on offense..

game of the week is Sat with LSA and Bayview..

Agreed Lincoln is #1 in dII right now and should move up next year. They were the better team easily in the pilgrim game and they have solid fowards scoring left and right. Can't wait to see who plays for the championship this year.

early results in--looks like Cumberland did in fact "muck" it up with EWG, depending on your definition of the word "muck." BV escapes with another win, but barely. EG-NK and LSA-Port still underway.

no surprises yesterday. I think the top seeds are set. I don't see BV getting past LSA this weekend.

If NK all stater is not back, then I suspect NK gets shutout twice this week by LSA and EG.

and let's see how EWG is next year without its star player..
Good call on the NK/LSA and NK/EG games

With the exception of watching some of the Smithfield games and only EWG once, it seems goal scoring / finishing is at a premium this year..maybe the most recent years have been exceptions and this is more the norm..but among the top teams, defense seems to dominate..if not for set plays, corners, or GK miscues, little actual scoring off creative offensive plays.

Perhaps some of these teams are young, but some teams just seem to underperform for the talent in the community..ultimately that is on the coaching..

I think the strong defenses are a real testament to coaching. Your usual suspects for running up huge goal tallies are being held in check compared to past years. Watch EG, BV, or LSA. These are excellent all around soccer teams playing at a high level. Others are close behind but even EWG or Smithfield, teams that have relied on high scoring to get the job done, are playing with more awareness for the other facets of the game. It's good to see.

Calling the seeds at this point is tough and pointless but as I look into the crystal ball and predict who's out of the dance this year, I see: Cranston West, Toll Gate and SK, yes SK.

They are at 11 points with no winnable games coming up other than Mt. Hope to close out the season and that's not a good matchup for them.

Prout and Barrington are tied for 12th spot at 7 points today, Barrington should finish at 13 points given their schedule. Prout needs to beat Cumberland and get a tie or win with either LaSalle or Portsmouth. Their play of late seems to indicate a tie with Portsmouth is not far fetched.

                  Somewhere JK is trembling!

I agree about Prout. That's another reason to try and get that first round bye. Prout could easily pick off and unsuspecting 5th seed....

Prout has been their own worst enemy this year and their record is deceiving. They should have easily tied NK and Mt. Hope and won SK and Toll Gate.

All 4 game were lost on goals in the final minute. Prout really should be sitting behind NK at 6/7. If they figure a way to get in they could throw off some higher seeds.

Well, maybe SK is still in it. Embarassing Smithfield at home on a Friday night is certainly one way to say you are still interested in making the playoffs. JK gets a laugh out of this one.
