One player does not make a team my friend

Ask NK or even SK to a degree on that..it is not that one player makes a team, it is if you build around or rely on one player, especially to score or control the middle, then your team doesn't know how to play if that player is missing. If NK all stater is not back, then I suspect NK gets shutout twice this week by LSA and EG.

and let's see how EWG is next year without its star player..

As a Bay View parent I am no longer going to disrespect EWG. They belong in D1 and deserve respect as a good team. They tied today and scored first, hardest we have been pushed this year.

wow I did not see that one coming. Makes the race for the coveted 4th place with its first round bye pretty interesting. EWG puts itself in a strong position to get it now that they pick up a point against the bengals and have beaten Portsmouth in head to head action. I think it may end up EG BV LSA EWG (at least the top 4 teams have easy abbreviations!)

Phenomenal goalkeeper. Strong physical team with a lot of grit. Should run the tables on the rest of their season.

EWG is good and should have played D1 last year..with their remaining schedule should finish in top 4..but before giving the coach as much credit, let's see what happens next year..if EWG even makes the playoffs in D1 next year, then that would be a great coaching job.

Bayview has solid but no top talent (sorry BV mom) but MY is probably best coach in D1...especially getting BV as far last year and probably will be semifinalist this year..

Like most HS games, BV/EWG is a tale of two pretty decent players playing forward on each side. CC from BV is the difference maker in the two games I've watched, she's got ugly but effective skills and hard nose for the net. KS from EWG is fast, good skills and pretty tough on her feet - everyone else on the field, including the many Bayside girls on BV are mediocre at best.

I'm sure it was a good game but please go easy on all the love, none of these teams are actually "that good" this year.

It seems like this was posted by someone whose soccer knowledge stopped developing at U8. Intellectual development ceased at U10.

It looks like the 4th seed is between Portsmouth, EWG, and Smithfield. Having seen them all play, I am surprised Smithfield is even in the discussion. Definitely the weakest team we've seen this year. Trash goals scored against what is really our JV defense, and their defense was non-existent. Portsmouth is tough but I think with their remaining schedule they would have to have some luck getting that 4th seed. EWG is the best coached and strongest up front--looks like their remaining schedule lends itself to a 5 game sweep. No doubt at this poinbt that BV, EG and LSA will be the top 3.
