Originally posted by Unregistered View PostIt depends on the severity of NK injuries. Cumberland could pull off a win aganst a depleted NK team, and Mt Hope is no small potatoes. They crowd the box, but that's what they did for years in D2 agfainst ewg and I don't think think it ever worked then.
As another poster stated, Cumberland and Mt. Hope are muckers..Mt. Hope has only given up 3 goals in last 3 games and 2 were at EG..Cumberland has only given up 4 goals in 4 home games..but both teams don't have any offense to speak of so it is a matter of the other team having a player or two that can make a good individual effort and score against 8/9 packed in.. EWG has that..NK has that in 1 player so if she is there, then they'll win too..otherwise, you might see 0-0..

KV leads Pilgrim to win.
She is a very talented player but a leader she is not. There are time she needs to put the team on her back and lead them to a win instead she cried about every little thing. That too bad because she is a phenomenon player.

Not sure which is more of a pleasant surprise--Warwick Vets doing great in D2 or Ewg strugglilng in D1. What goes around comes around. :)

EWG scrimmaged preseason all the top teams except Lincoln and Pilgrim and crushed them all so I would think since they are near the top of D1 they would be in D2. Not a EWG parent or coach just tired of never giving them credit. They seem to be a quality team.

Originally posted by Unregistered View Postwith Cumberland, Bayview, Barrington and NK left to play, EWG could slip in the standings. Those 4 teams are just hitting their stride.
Cumberland could sneak in with Prout and CW still remaining.
NK stride - you mean backward..it is in 7th..having lost to the teams right below and right above it..and remaining games against the 1,2,3,4, and 5 seeds..
EWG still has CW, Barrington, Toll Gate..will finish 4th as Smithfield moves up and Portsmouth stalls.. EG, LSA, Bayview, Smithfield.. top 4 seeds at end of the season..
