sounds like typical EWG bragging. They probably lost both games.
Yeah, you are right they lost both games and got smoked today. It is not EWG bragging just facts. Why the negative on them, they seem to be playing well and should make D1 more interesting. I hope they do well except of course when they play our team. Let's just see what happens.
Scituate's tie against Smithfield shows that they will have a good shot at the D2 top four. Scituate, Pilgrim, MSC, Tiverton should be the teams making it to the finals.

You would have to wonder about some of the games featuring D2 vs D1. You could say Ssituate's tie vs Smithfield would indeed make them seem like a D2 contender, but what does their performance against Smithfield, Barrington and EWG say about D1? Barrington beat Scituate in the injury fund games by 2 goals and EWG blew Scituate away a few days before that by 6 goals. Just sayin. Before you crown yourself D2 top four material , take a look at yourself in the mirror.

Doesn't say much..some of those D1 clubs bring bloated rosters, including JV kids..plus turf does make a difference for some teams..does say that D2 should be more interesting this year with EWG gone..
Let's see how tomorrow's LSA-Smithfield goes..or a few other indicators on how D1 will split such as CW-SK, EG-Barrington, NK-Prout, WG- Coventry
Just the lack of chatter on these boards shows that no one really knows what they have this year - should be incredible parity across D1 & D2 this season.
Plus this year's senior class is very weak in terms of talent when compared to the past 4-5 graduating classes. I actually think the junior class is a bigger pool of talent and entering the big "coming out" year for HS players.

We'll see who steps up.
I think this year's seniors are the same as pretty much every graduating class with the exception of the class of 2011 which was exceptional. The junior class and senior class are practically identical in regards to the number of talented players. Usually there are 2-3 seniors who go into their senior year with a D1 commitment, and this year there appears to be 0, so maybe in that regard, there is a slight drop off, but not much.

You don't have a very good handle on the RI soccer scene. There are 2 committments at this point for seniors that play club soccer in MA, and there are probably going to be more 2014 committments as the year goes on. Could be as many as 5 or 6 by spring. And there may be some 2015 commits before the fall is over as well--mostly by players that play in MA.
really? Let's see how things look on Friday morning. I think none of those scores will come to pass. There are many other important games also that you missed.

I don't have the data, but it just seems that among some of the usual "suspects" in D1, the rosters seem less heavy seniors (LSA, Bayview)..maybe EWG, Portsmouth and NK are senior heavy (at least at key positions)..
