I assume she is SSS but I don't know. If #12 was on Bayside, they would have won 7-1. Period. This team isn't champs because of coaching or a wonderfully balanced team, they have the best U12 forward I have seen in years. Bayside battled her with two defenders and still could not shut her down. Take #12 off the field they are a completely different team ... I'm not saying they would be weak or bad, but there is no way they are the same team with her off the field. No way.
Yup you nailed that one... #12 is one of the Select players..we even saw her later that day playing at her Select game in Abington.

Okay so they added two players to the roster to bring the team up to 14 to account for injuries and missing players. Only 2 girls from SSS. And they still won. Are you saying that it only takes two 12 year old girls to beat an entire team of premier players? Wow those two girls must be really good. Why are they wasting their time on a RI team? Go for the gold. Maybe they should just go to Nationals by themselves, they obviously don't need the rest of the team. Sorry BS it takes a team to win a game and you just didn't have it.

I wonder if select team knew those girls played in state cup game earlier and I wonder if it impacted their 1-0 loss yesterday and put them at 3-4 and under .500. Coach wouldn't be too happy if he knew that I bet.

'to account for injuries and missing players?' yeah that wasn't the reason. But obviously you didn't read the previous posts, #12 was very good and accounted for the win, end of story...the BS team are mostly a full year younger and still played well and guess what, they still get to go to PA. Not a bad deal and it will be a great experience for them. And then next year when Portsmouth doesn't have any Select players we'll see what happens.

They tried hiding it and other town parent knows parents on U11 team and some people found out. They can't believe they would not show to own town game and go to another towns team.

OP. Yes I am saying that 1 girl that good in a small sided game can be the total difference between winning and losing. Never complained about Portsmouth getting her but the sorry BS is acting like that team would be that good without her. Take her off the field, Portsmouth may still win, very likely. But switch her to Bayside U12, Bayside U11, BGYSA whoever and Portsmouth would lose.

Gee, let me guess, am I talking to #73's mother right about now? Not enough photo ops yesterday for little Mia with #12 taking all the glory?

RI is too small for stuff like that and the soccer world is even smaller....

3-4 girls will go to another club from what I hear. They are sick of the games.

You're pretty small and feeble minded if you don't go to the field this weekend and see the difference in play especially in age groups like Boys 13, 14, 15 and Girls 15,16. The other teams aren't even close in terms of speed, finishing, touch.

OK now insert proverbial, "wait until they get to Regionals" quip from the folks who have never been. Regionals are regionals and no RI team is ever going in favored but you hope they compete well which last year a couple did.
Beg to differ here. I didnt see all the games you cite, but I did see the u13 boys. Tough match, hard fought. Did the better team win? Yes it did. Should the BWP players feel bad? No way they played for each other, and they gave that BS team all it could handle. If a couple things had gone differently in the fist half, it could have been a different game.

I also saw the u15 girls. It was not a close match. BS scored early and the BWP girls had a bad 15-20 min stretch that killed them. Better team won, no question. I will say this though, BWP was never going to win that match, but a whole butch of people are busy patting themselves on the back over at BS, when KV really carried them. They are a very very different team when she is not on the feild. I am not so sure the system prevailed as much as the talent of a hand full (and that really is what separates the teams, 5-6 girls) of the players.

Isn't number 12 from Portsmouth? Great group of girls and remember they represent the state of Rhode Island. I'd be curious to know how many RI girls that play on MA club teams participated in their State cup this weekend?

They do represent RI. Good Luck Girls! However, if #73's Mother represents RI I would expect the good people of PA to start launching sidewinder missles about 350 miles east.

Okay, I thought the score was 7 - 1. I guess her one goal was the deal clencher for the game.

Thank you for the laugh. That could be the most entertaining thing I've read on this topic

Put her on the other team, does Portsmouth win that game?

In that toxic environment at Bayside? Be closer but still win. Put her on the u12 team and maybe that team is going to PA.
