Why are they wasting their time on a RI team? Go for the gold. Maybe they should just go to Nationals by themselves, they obviously don't need the rest of the team. Sorry BS it takes a team to win a game and you just didn't have it.

Gee, let me guess, am I talking to #73's mother right about now? Not enough photo ops yesterday for little Mia with #12 taking all the glory?

Originally posted by Unregistered View Post'to account for injuries and missing players?' yeah that wasn't the reason. But obviously you didn't read the previous posts, #12 was very good and accounted for the win, end of story...the BS team are mostly a full year younger and still played well and guess what, they still get to go to PA. Not a bad deal and it will be a great experience for them. And then next year when Portsmouth doesn't have any Select players we'll see what happens.

You're pretty small and feeble minded if you don't go to the field this weekend and see the difference in play especially in age groups like Boys 13, 14, 15 and Girls 15,16. The other teams aren't even close in terms of speed, finishing, touch.
OK now insert proverbial, "wait until they get to Regionals" quip from the folks who have never been. Regionals are regionals and no RI team is ever going in favored but you hope they compete well which last year a couple did.
I also saw the u15 girls. It was not a close match. BS scored early and the BWP girls had a bad 15-20 min stretch that killed them. Better team won, no question. I will say this though, BWP was never going to win that match, but a whole butch of people are busy patting themselves on the back over at BS, when KV really carried them. They are a very very different team when she is not on the feild. I am not so sure the system prevailed as much as the talent of a hand full (and that really is what separates the teams, 5-6 girls) of the players.

But switch her to Bayside U12, Bayside U11, BGYSA whoever and Portsmouth would lose.
