i understand what everyones saying about premiere teams, but you can be as good on a premiere team as on a select team! as long as you play you can improve. Why pay all that money for a team. Premiere teams will take anyone who pays.

I will have to disagree on this one. Before I say what I have to say, let me begin by saying that I understand there are always exceptions to the rule. That being said , my daughter was on a great town team that had a great deal of success. The reason she left them for premier is complex, but in the end it comes down to wanting to be on a team filled with people who love the game as much as she does. In the town select team there were always two or three kids that came to every practice and practiced hard and took it seriously. The rest came sporadically and some hardly at all and if they did come they goofed off and were not serious at all. My daughter went to a premier team and suddenly she was practicing 6 hrs a week with 15-16 other girls that loved the game as much as her and who practiced hard and rarely missed a training session. The training was also year round unlike her town team. Also, her town team would do maybe one winter tournament and and the CapeCod tournament on memorial day and that's it. Her premier team went to over 8 tournaments s year against some of the best teams in Region 1. Regardless who the coach is, the premier environment she's been exposed to has made her a much better player than any town team in the State could possibly have made her. My daughter really had no choice but to go premier and we fealt like the lessons she's learned about hard work and sacrifice coupled with the lifelong friends she's made with a group of girls that have a common interest and passion were well worth the expense. Town teams at the younger ages (the most important years) are handcuffed by SRI's three town rule and trying to find 16 or 17 like minded passionate kids in that small a demographic is close to impossible.

There are many parents who just want better training for the kids. There is nothing wrong with that. It is not a questions of clubs just want to take your $$$$. I play soccer all my life and I know his town coach has no clue about the game. We opted for premier because they offer more in term of training, technical development and stronger competition. I figured @ $1,550 per year divided by 46 wks, it only cost me about $35 a week that is not a bab deal. In fact, it is better that putting him at Teamworks and learn nothing.

Because my son plays premier and select I get to see a lot of SuperLiga games and I can honestly say that is not the brand of soccer I want my kid to learn. He still play select because I feel he needs to gain some confidence by playing against players with less quantity. Or if I want him to work on certain part of his game.

So select does have some benefits. It gets kids excited about the game and develop more appreciation for this beatiful game.

No, they won't. Most club teams do have to turn kids away. I take nothing away from town select teams, there are some GREAT, highly ranked teams out there.

I suspect you have never seen a Premier training session or a match between two decent Premier teams. SL/Select isnt the same game. Most Premier teams take 17/18 players and I will grant you that on some teams those last couple kids may not be the caliber that they could or should be when the season starts. But, I will say this, if your kid plays a year of Premier and you can honestly say they have not improved dramatically I would be very surprised

What were you drinking when you were looking at the scores! Just shows how smart you are, to post something that doesn't even make sense.

I dont think those are team scores I think that was for the day. the original poster was talking about the day not team or year. Just how im reading it. I read it as 2-1-2 on the day with no score for U13's and no score for U10.

U13's won 2-1 and U10's they don't post scores or standings but from what I know the U10 team is actually a U9 team playing U10. Who cares anyway!! They are playing the best competition and clubs and are competitive in almost each game.

Black Watch Premier placed 3 more players into the New England Revolution Academy (R R, L A and G F). This makes 11 placements in the past 2 years - well done everybody!
Like I said when this was posted back in july it was BS and false ad from SC and Black watch. They have updated the webstie. 7 not 11 I guess tryouts were that bad he had to BS on TS to try and rebuild BW.
