JC, CP and JMA are all on staff and coached all 4 at some point even if it was for 1 game and they taught them one thing thats development. You can ask anyone of those players yourself! It is true that two of them were roster with SD while at bayside and 1 played for sd at PCD but JMA coached everyone of those kids at some point covering his uncle's ass at games and practice if you were around then and you no SD you know this was the case. And when SD was suspened by SRI JMA was coach for all SD teams.

The fact is most if not all looked up to JMA cause of what he did as a player in RI!

In RI you might play 2 preliminary games and then maybe two more to win the whole thing.

And how many did Oakwood CFC U-13 girls play? Oakwood CFC U-14 girls play? FSA U15 girls play? Looks like 4 games to win CT State Cup.

        Rays U13 played 5. U14 and U15 girls played 4.

You have 4 times the number of players/clubs in CT -- are you developing 4 x the number of National team players? I don't see any CT teams in the semi/finals at Regional ODP tournaments.

I see 3 kids from RI (and on RI premier teams) on the Revs DA U-16 roster..and a couple more from MA who play for RI teams..and 1 from CT.

RI does okay considering its messed up state organization..what's the excuse for underperformance in CT?

Totally incorect. No team in RI played as many state cup round robin games as Bayside, and then not to mention that Bayside won almost every game that they palyed in state cup play. Not even CT had a club that won that many games. Especially the Rays--their u15 team only played 3 round robin games--not 4.

No team plays more Round Robbin games than any other team. That's how Round Robin works. Your example of the U15 girls is not quite right. The U15 girls only played two Round Robin matches. After that there was the Semi's and the Finals. There were only 5 teams participating. I honestly don't care what goes on in CT, and MA, but their field of teams is many times bigger, 4 or 5 times bigger. They get ranked, the divisions are set up appropriately, and their Round Robin is much harder to win. That doesn't mean that they are definitely better than the RI team, but you have to face the facts that there is a good chance of the CT and MA teams being better. And that their State Cup winner has accomplished more.

I'm pretty sure the CT team did not go as far as Bayside at regionals, since bayside accomplished the same level as the MA state cup champ at least for U15 girls, maybe others as well.

Bayside has won over 40 state cup championships, regardless how other states run their tournamets takes nothing away from Bayside.

I would call it Talking-Soccer.com domination. That may be your greatest conquest.

Not saying the Rays U14/15 teams specifically.. saying the winner (and runner-ups) had to play 5 games in U13 (Rays/SC) and 4 in U14/15 (Bayside and runner-ups).

Look..as I said in my post.. CT has 4 times the population and teams..so the "pool" is bigger..but they only play in general 4 games to win SC..just like in RI. The impression from the poster is the teams in CT play more games to reach SC, not true. And RI pool might be bigger if the State cup was run earlier like a minor league event. No reason why SC in RI couldn't be held later and include more teams, using some seeding mechanism.

If you want to argue the aggregate level of competition is harder, then perhaps that is so. Maybe that argues for a different structure for the NCS where you have mini-regionals instead of individual state cups before the regionals -- would be a better indicator of best teams instead of best teams limited by any state residency roster rules.

Bayside has definitely become RI's top performing club. But if you look at the results at the Regional Championship, most of the Bayside teams did fairly poorly, and some were embarrassed. The two teams that made it to the Semi's, should be congratulated for getting as far as they did, but let's get some perspective here. They both got crushed in the Semi's, something like 6-0. So I guess the point is that being the best in RI, doesn't hold a lot of water, regionally.
