Bayside U14 - Strong additions from rays and also added strong mid from U15 team. This team will runaway with state's next year despite what you may hear about SC.

Bayside U13 - Decent core group of girls with playing up experience - should be interesting to see how they fill out the roster.

Bayside U16 - Remain the same but certainly peaked at regionals this year - no reason to not see them win another state title.
there is only one person in RI that thinks of the rays as having collapsed, and that is the old pres of the club JK. (Okay, maybe also his few henchmen who profited from their pitiful management of the club). To everyone else, parents and players included, it is a reorganization for the better.

agreed! RI girls soccer will be much improved. It would be hard to find any former rays players that did not end up in a better postion than they were before. Anyone? If there are folks out there, chime in.

I would say that bruno and blackwatch also have made great strides for next year. ALthough these clubs did not disperse like the rays, the new coaching additions and roster additions will help keep the competition strong for both girls and boys teams.

What U14 girls team will represent RI in sub regional league?

Season is over, these kids have moved to next age level (ie. Bayside 13s are now 14s)

Agree with all of these predictions. Pretty much each age group will be a bayside sweep as was last year--on boys and girls side. I think what you have is a CFC or Stars of Mass organization finally developing in RI--and its about time

you're right in saying they will probably dominate instate but will never be successful like the stars or cfc out of state. And please don't throw the U15 bayside girls arguement at me. They had a nice little run at regionals but could not hang with the big boys (girls) when it came down to it

Mass person here, just dropping in on the RI site out of boredom. Do I see this correctly--someone in RI suggesting that Bayside has become on par with our Stars club? I'll assume that there is a typo somewhere in the thread that I just read and move on. Maybe someone from CT will drop in and comment on the CFC observation......

Actually, at least as far as last season's U15 G state cup went, CFC and Bayside have something in common. Many in CT were shocked that the CFC team DID NOT win the U15g state cup, and many in RI were shocked that Bayside DID win the U15g state cup. Coincidence?

If you had read correctly, the poster states it is 'developing' not 'on par' with, that would mean it's starting to develop to be like those organizations, not that they are there yet. I'm sure there's plenty of action on the MA board for you....

no one in RI was surprised by baysides sweep, and it is to be expected again this year at many age levels and boys and girls side. Good luck to CFC to get to this level of dominance in your state.

Not hard to dominate when you're the only show in town

It's a grind to win state cup in mass or ct. many more games and many good teams. ri state cup is a joke, only one or maybe two teams have a shot at winning in each age bracket. mass and ct have multiple teams that could win
