The point is, the difference in age shouldnt matter at U14 to U15 or U15 to U16, etc. Those kids are more likely closer in age to the girls they are playing with this fall than those they normally have to play with.

The difference is the cutoff date, December 31/January 1st. for year based vs. July 31/August 1st. for grade based. In both option the oldest kid on the team is no more than exact one year older than the youngest player on the team

My guess is that it is a Hex 2011G parent complaining. Even if Hex would use trapped players, highly doubt anyone from the 2010 team would be helpful to Hex’s 11s. So is it a jealousy Hex vs Ukies thing? Will this Hex parent be just as mad if/when other opponents in their conference use trapped players this fall?

This isn’t the World Cup and I’m sure the Ukies have a inferiority complex but at this age the game still should be fun and everyone should get meaningful minutes.
