Look at the scores in these club v club leagues. Especially EDP, no fun winning or losing a game 10-0 after a five hour round trip.

This is happening in every league. For example, look at FC Stars East in the u15 ECNL bracket, their goal differential is plus 37 in only 12. And when you look closer, you see scores of 9-0, 7-0, 6-1, 5-0 etc. So again, are there some good teams in ECNL yes, but there is also total garbage. Every league has a few good teams and a lot of bad

Yeah but the level of bad team in ECNL/ GDA is about the same as level of best team in USYS, that's the difference...

Well, seeing that there is only about 4 good ECNL Teams that puts them right up there in the top half or higher. Really though, aren't ECNL teams really only about 2 or 3 kids. Take them away and they're not nearly as competitive. Who are you trying to kid?

Go watch PDA and FC Stars... those clubs are way deeper in talent than just 2-3 kids per team.

Agreed, there are only two good teams in ECNL. Imagine if the only had one team competing in the league. The rest are just bottom feeders

Youth soccer is so messed up. There are more then 2 good teams but there are plenty of average teams in ECNL, GDA and every other league. Even the top teams dont exactly knock your socks off. Is what it is. Whole thing should be blown up and reconstructed.

i'd argue USWNT at all ages have digressed since inception of ECNL & age-group changes. Players are not developed anymore, just rounded up in one place.

that is not a fair assessment....for years the USA has supported developing girls here in the USA. a hell of a lot more than in other countries....until the last 3-5 years other countries are now catching up to our girls because they are supporting there own.

much like the rest of the world has caught up to and surpassed the Brazilians.

The biggest problem in American Soccer is US Club. I'm not against there being rival organizations. There is a place for USYSA, AYSO, etc but US Club's approach is extremely unhealthy for development.

USYSA has order to it's layers of competition. US Club will license as many leagues as it can even if they are overlapping area's and offer duplicate levels of play. Worse, US Club will let just about anybody with a checkbook to enter teams in their leagues instead of only allowing in real clubs. This has led to tremendous fracturing of the soccer landscape so instead of players concentrating on development, they are constantly obsessing on switching to whatever team or league is the flavor of the month.

why is it US clubs fault and not the whiny parents of these snot nosed brat kids? "Oh my kid deserves better" or "why is my precious baby sitting on the bench" instead of parents being real parents and telling there brat kids to suck it up and train harder...its easier to just switch teams so maybe johny numbnuts and/or rosie rottencrotch will be the star of there new team. snowflake fag parents create and breed snowflake fag kids (and I have no ill will to gay people just using the term "fag" as a synonym for weakness).

Nothing wrong with being tough on our children....there is a reason why our grand parents are named the "greatest generation"...its because our great grand-parents made them that way....lets do the same for our children....lets prepare them for something more important than a soccer game....lets prepare them for real life when things are not going as planned.

Totally disagree, the bottom ECNL teams are truly awful, and routinely get smoked by NPL teams, EDP teams, etc. Just look at Jeff Cup results

It's US Club's fault because they are creating the situation that makes this all possible. USYSA could do the same thing if they wanted to and make more money. They choose not to.

I did look at Jeff Cup results, that's what I'm basing my statement on. I'd love to see an example of an ECNL team getting smoked by an NPL or EDP team...other than SSS who has the top YNT player in the country and will be joining GDA next year.
