The hubris of the Smithtown folks is astounding!!! A mediocre town club with virtually no real accomplishments, yet they come on these boards pounding their chests constantly talking about how great they are and how jealous everyone is and (my personal favorite) how everyone wants all their players. You guys are masters of spin, maybe you should get into politics-you already got the "fake news" line down pat!
Masters of spin? Pounding their chests? This thread started with an attack on Smithtown, not smithtown pounding their chests. If Smithtown is so bad, why waste the time and energy posting on this thread and reading all the pages. You wouldn't. The only reason you do is to promote your club over the competition, in this case, Smithtown. So yes, one would expect Smithtown parents to defend their kid's club.

My guess would be there's a few posters who don't like Smithtown, but if you want this thread to die-stop replying to all the posts! Eventually people get bored and move on. If your kid is happy at the club, parents don't need to go on annonymous chat boards and defend anything-just let your kid be happy!

It's not parents on here, it's the hired help trying to protect their $$$$

The big "town clubs" in Suffolk used to be Smithtown, Sachem, HBC, Commack, Dix Hills and Stony Brook.

Sachem imploded, Commack and Dix Hills took a few steps back as they voluntarily shipped off their best players to SUSA and Stony Brook has made one bad partnership decision after another. HBC has remained HBC.

While Smithtown has slipped a little as, like everyone else, they lost players to SUSA, Barca and so on, they are still in the top two or three town clubs in Suffolk and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

First of all, the poster said town club, so why you brought up SUSA makes no sense. Second, at least in the NPL leagues, we've seen the two play and Smithtown has done quite well. I for one would like to see the Smithtown teams play the SUSA ECNL teams

It would look like most other youth soccer games. Go watch games played in these different leagues. They are all relatively similar. There are a few really good teams buy mostly they all just play youth soccer. It is fine but nothing amazing enough to justify this constant bragging about this one or that one.

You will be getting your wish soon enough. It's a SLAM dunk! Big things coming next week. Prepare for the tryout landscape to go nuts, especially in Suffolk. Vitamin boy can no longer push the little clubs around.
Folks wanted a unified LI landscape, step one is coming. A brick will be slammed in the face of Susa.

Lol. Step one happens every spring every year with some oversold nonsense. Bring us steps 2, 3, 4, and 5 or leave us alone

Wearing another clubs jersey changes nothing.

Wait, I am seeing this correctly? You’re saying “leave us alone” on a thread you created to bash Smithtown? Really?

Here we go again! This thread was so close to dying on the vine, but Smithtown folks just can't help themselves! The overinflated view of their mediocre town club is just unreal. Smithtown does fine in NPL but would get thrashed by the Susa ECNL teams, there would be no contest. Despite what ECNL bashers say, the speed of the game alone would wear out the Smitbtown teams in the first 15 minutes.

With almost every ECNL team sitting in 1st or 2nd place in the conference and heading to National Playoffs, I'm sure Susa is shaking in their cleats!!! The obsession with Susa is bizarre!!!
