At the end of the day, the odds of your kid becoming a "pro" soccer player is 1/10,000 (yes this is it). Knowing this, you and your kid should be realistic in your own potential.

Does anyone know of a single player/parent beyond U8 who thinks there kid is going to play pro? More importantly...why would any parent of a daughter WANT their kid to go pro...especially after dropping so much $$ during the the journey?

All these clubs are all telling us that there system is the best for developing soccer players, they pitch and sell there own brand of kool-aid and we are all happy to buy into it. why is it that many many many people are paying $3k, $4k and $5k for soccer tuition? is it because they think it will help there brat kid become doctors and lawyers?...its all kool-aid

No idea why anyone would dismiss it

Well, you're always an injury away from your career ending and you'll have many more coaches knocking on your door if your grades are good too.

You do you and let others do them. Im responding to the posts that seem to dismiss professional soccer as a waste of time. It may well be for your kid, but not someone else
