her age is irrelevant once you get to College. Its a big pool of players and that that. There are other GKs in the country who are every bit as good who will compete with her for time in College and beyond. You need to get out of the bubble a bit more often.

I think the fact that she is a good teammate and person makes everyone who has had contact with her feel this way. I am sure anyone at WC, NYCFC and NYSC will all say the same. We wish her all the best, and hope to see her on the National Stage one day

Indeed, my kid played for all 3 of those clubs, and JD is the nicest, and most talented player I have ever seen, and I have seen many.

I don't know this kid at all but best of luck to her. But more importantly, best of luck to all your Sons and Daughters. They are out there competing. Doesn't matter which team, league, coach. They all have dreams. Who are we to judge how much money is enough money for an athletic scholarship. Or how much playing time at the next level is success. Let these kids pursue what they want, and accept what they want.

Not everyone is going to be on the National Team, and that's OK. Any kid that sticks out something for this long, through the ups and downs, is a success.

Sorry you don't see it that way but its the truth. If you can't appreciate all these kids for the work they put in then that's on you. If a kid wants to play in college and can achieve that goal then all the best to them. Doesn't matter if its a D1, D2, or D3. They set a goal and achieved it.
