Women's DA soccer, high school soccer, and college soccer is just painful to watch honestly !

Who cares. If my kid is getting a 80% scholarship at Boston College, getting a great education and still getting to play her favorite sport, I don’t care how bad it is. I’ll be there every week cheering her on. What do you people think happens after they graduate college?

so if education i so important, why do you want her devoting the time and effort needed to get 80%. Surely the time devoted to soccer can detract from academics. This is the disconnect in so many arguments. D1 soccer is very hard mentally and physically. There is no easy road to 80%.

Yeah, and they hail from Ireland, England, Germany, Iceland, South America (and are on their international teams) ..... or are on a USNT .... which does your kid fit under? If she aint one of those types of kids, she is not getting 80% athletic money .... and, if she goes to BC, it is doubtful she got that much athletic and merit combined either. All 30 kids on BC have 80% ... sure .... they are special and got 24 scholarships. You sir are a BSer.

They are not....it's very rare. Frankly, a D-1 or D-II college coach giving 80% of a scholarship to a single player is not running their program correctly.

Not OP but now you have added a subjective qualifier onto your criteria. There are definitely players getting 80% and more. Just because they're not all going to UCLA or UNC does not mean they are not getting a scholarships to good schools. Not saying 80% ride is common but it is also not unheard of, either.

Academic money. All these kids get academic money as well as endowment money because they are good at a sport. Regardless of where is comes from many girls are getting 80% plus. That’s why coaches always say most important thing to have is the grades. They have access to these funds as well.
