Other clubs use the legal loophole, just not putting players in their rosters until high school is done. Unless proven otherwise those players aren't doing HS and GDA at the same time. Fury didn't do that. You are right that it doesn't help the league's credibility. At least there was a crackdown.
But I would have suspended players for more games and forfeited all prior games they played in rather than games moving forward. That sends a real message

The Rules will change. But they will change that if you play HS soccer, you are done until the spring.

You can't play both. If you play HS, you do that. And you better be damn good because teams don't have to take you back.

Seems you need to take your gda hard sell elsewhere. NY or at least LI is apparently not that interested. And to be fair...with what was served up to LI players, is it any surprise?

How could gda players play HS? They are all way too busy training to be paid pros! They will be such amazing players I am sure we will all be lining up to buy tickets to watch them play.

Nationwide is the biggest crock of garbage youth soccer sells. Your kid lives in NY and will play in NY so find a spot that can work for her.

That wasn't the question. You said that, essentially, GDA is made up of kids who were cut from ECNL teams. I was curious if that statement meant for all GDA areas, or just NY.

Not the poster - out west GDA is much stronger, but even there it doesn't capture all the best talent. In the NE GDA is a train wreck. I know girls in GDA here that didn't make varsity on the HS teams. The supposed top league shouldn't be taking JV players.
