There is a huge difference between 30 minutes and 90 minutes. What do you have? A chaffeur? Most families can not taxi their kids to a team an hour away...ONE way.

The entire population of MA north if I93, and most of NH, needs 90 minutes to get to Stars at that time of day. How do I know? The 5 players who jumped ship from Stars this year told us directly.
Trust me...I thought long and hard about trying to make it work but could not.

With traffic in my area to get to an ECNL club it's about an hour with no traffic, up to 90 with. Add it I have to backtrack 30 minutes to get my kid, I have to leave work at 2:30 to pick her up for school just to get her there on time.
WTAF...

There are plenty of NH kids in Lancaster during the week. Perhaps the ones that "jumped ship" had a few additional reasons....
Their mother's don't work.

Either way it's a personal/family decision and I won't throw stones at someone who is unwilling to drive more than 15 minutes from home OR someone who is willing to drive 2 hours. Everyone's situation/kid is different.
Not everyone is in a position to choose the ideal situation. Some choose the best situation what is available to them.

That said. No player can control that the youth soccer industry has gone off the deep end. Hope players can get something positive out of playing regardless of the abuses inherent in the system.

I think Larry Miller ratted out the girls from Fury. His site hasn't had this much activity since the Fury coach was accused with Fondling his player

MA--NEFC is within 30 min of FC Stars, SSS within 30 min of Scorpions. All are within 1.5 hours of each other.
CT--Oakwood is within 45 minutes of CFC and FSA
Long Island-- 2 GDA and 2 ECNL clubs in very close proximity--absurd
New Jersey- STA and Match Fit are pretty close to each other... Cedar Stars and PDA are within an hour
Even Seacoast in NH is within 50 min of Stars...
The idea that GDA was created to address geographic areas where there was no high level league available is BS.
