Fury us like every other club. Some strong players and some weak. Welcome to youth soccer. That is why we should get rid of some of these teams and clubs.

It didn't happen to nearly this extent. And the crack down isn't because NYCFC pulled out. It's because of the debacles with Alby/Fury/P.R. that made them desperate to lock in players and tell families to do what they want. There were just too many players doing it for USSF to ignore.

There definitely other GDA clubs with kids playing HS but it seems they are doing it the "legal" way of not being rostered when HS is going on then will add them later.

Really the next question is what will happen to all the girls that have been suspended yet continue to play HS ball? Oceanside, Mepham, South Side just to name a few schools where this is happening? Are these girls, some of whom are not seniors, renouncing GDA entirely?

What a great way to be recruited to college - start off as a cheater.

They've wedged themselves into a very bad position. Unlikely they kind find decent spots elsewhere (or they already would have by now). If they walk away from their HS teams now to do GDA only, then they're screwing those teams over going into playoffs (assuming most are solid contributors on their HS teams).

if seniors plan to walk away from GDA they better present their college coaches with reasons why. They also better have a solid plan as to how they are going to make sure they are fully prepared for the first practice next August. Not playing in a decent league for the next several months won't go over really well with college coaches. They aren't that worried about which patch you have on your jersey (they know all the leagues are a mess) but you should be putting on some kind of jersey.

Yeah it is, since we pulled-out its all gone to sh_t, just like your big D1 plans for your daughter.

This really isn't a surprise nor should it have been.

There was rumors of this happening in it's first two years and I said at the time that GDA was looking the other way for a short time so clubs/players could get used to it. They planned to crack down, and they have.

Follow the rules, and you won't have much of a problem.

I'm not sure they have a choice -- the 03 and 04 Fury teams sound like they have imploded and many have already left for other teams. Maybe they can cobble together a combined 03/04 team if anyone is left. Otherwise the 04 team will be filled with younger players if they can con them as well.

Those two age groups were handed the majority of the suspensions. They are represented here by all of the complaining of how stupid the rule is.

Fury has NOT ONE strong player. Best players are OK at best. AT BEST.

Come back when she's a starter at UVA. Every team has it's share of bench warmers.

Now that's not fair, Jabs is a pretty good player, certainly the best since Shimkin has left...but for gods sake keep her away from the Halloween candy!!

C'mon. I don't know the player but there aren't any D1 players who aren't strong.

Pick your battles, otherwise you just sound crazy.
