So why bother playing then? If the teams are so shltty just play HS and a league that has no issue with it and be done with it.

Most folks don't know what "good soccer" looks like. Take it as you will.

Moreover, why would they risk it to play High School soccer? Does it get any worse than High School soccer? IF you are a GDA level player why would you want to bother?
Because the Fury moms walking around with their Prada bags and Juicy pants could care less about money.

Thats' part of the problem - GDA is not BDA. It isn't the best players (it has some) and certainly isn't all the best clubs and teams to compete against. If GDA were stronger they would attract better players who wouldn't be willing to take chances to play what DA claims is meaningless HS soccer. Boys more readily give it up for a reason - because BDA is the top league by a country mile. GDA just isn't. At best it's tied with ECNL. Obviously there's local variations, but as a whole not enough girls think it's worth bypassing HS soccer for.

Won't agree or disagree, but that leaves two schools of thought:

                1) It's not worth bypassing HS soccer. So don't sign up for GDA then.
                2) It's worth bypassing HS soccer. So don't play HS then.

It's really not all that complicated.

These leagues are more desirable and less oversold if they have stronger players involved. I would say many of the suspended players are good players. Suit yourself but I would say the league was more attractive with them included rather then excluded. I think the league bit off ots nose to spite it's face

That's what happens at times. Not the first time a club or a team or a company had to let someone go who contributed positively to the bottom line, but negatively in appearance.

Sometimes, taking a moral stand and sticking to the rules is the better way. If not, the backlash would be 10X worse.

The players won't be missed while they are gone. They also will learn a powerful lesson and hopefully can apply it positively in the future.

I have less hope for their parents who encouraged it though. They appear to be a lost cause.

Op here and I totally agree. It seems its the daddies who want to give their darlings everything they want that have a hard time coming to terms with that.

Moral stand? Pay to play youth soccer and Nora stand don't belong in the same sentence. Enjoy your weaker product.

I agree the league itself won't suffer. They will just replace any player they lose with another one like they always do. Likely weaker as best as I can see but that is how it goes at this point in all leagues. The competition available to the current players in the league is what will suffer.

You realize arrogant parents and pay to play youth soccer go hand in hand. The entire status symbol business model depends on them. If you get rid of them you can kiss your whole league good bye

Isn't every league pay to play?

In the US, pretty much for the most part. In a good chunk of the world however there are lots of "free" playing options for youths as the clubs make their money from their cut of the pro-contracts of those that make it to the higher levels of the game.
