What's yours bright guy? That players shouldn't be punished for breaking the rules? That the club shouldn't be punished for openly telling players to break the rules? A well run club that is in demand won't give fake waivers or look the other way.
They won't need to. They don't want to be down players or deal with the ugliness that usually comes when HS players return. They don't want games to be forfeited or suffer USSF consequences.

I know it's stupid rule. Life has lots of stupid rules. But as a parent I prefer to teach my kids to follow rules and that there are consequences when you don't.

Yes, like NYCFC/WC, they had integrity, say what you want about old Kaz, he was a stand-up guy when it came to the GDA rules and regulations

If he could find a team of players that were not interested in HS - good for him. Many players do not want to give up playing for their school. Some do but enough to fill up the gda in this conference.

us soccer needs to have less clubs involved or allow high school players or how are they gong to continue with the current structure in this conference?

It’s amazing this is even a discussion. The players deserve to be suspended. How can you argue they shouldn’t? There’s a rule and they didn’t follow it. What happens if they don’t want to follow the rules in school? Suspension? What happens when they get older and don’t follow the rules at work? Fired? Parents should be embarrassed that they’re raising their kids this way. Why should the LISC kids give up HS when their counterparts at Fury don’t? Because they follow the rules. Can’t have it both ways. It’s actually a good life lesson for the kids at LISC and Fury.

If there are LISC kids giving up HS that actually want to play HS that is their choice. They must feel they get some benefit from making that sacrifice. Why do they have to put that other kids that are not in their club or their conference?

they get nothing from whining except ruining the season for a lot of other kids playing both for and against the suspended children. they get nothing of value at all and it was likely other clubs or parents since the players dont give a rat's ass.

Vindictive tattle tales. When ran to your mommy about this one or that one doing something you though you was bad, didn't she tell you not to be a tattle tale?

That may be the case, so the answer currently is do not play GDA if you wanted to play HS. Choose a club and league that allows you to play HS. Many others did so knowing the rules prohibited HS...that is why GDA is weak (particularly in the NE) and much of the strong talent is still playing elsewhere.

You don't get it that you wanted to be treated differently or have exceptions made for you when others were not afforded that option or made choices ahead of time based on these rules.

IMO - if your LISC kid wants to be playing HS, let her play HS for goodness sake. It is youth soccer.

Agreed. And play for a club and a league that allows you to do so.

As the other poster said, I can't even believe this is a question.

Wow, you’re totaling missing the point. The kids broke the RULES. They deserve to be punished. Forget about soccer. Do you allow your kids to do whatever they want without repercussions? If so, what type of person are you raising.

The rule sucks, but it is what it is. I’m sure there are kids that want to play DA and HS who don’t because of the rule. Please explain why it’s ok for some to ignore the rule while others have to follow.

I would never ever rat out a kid playing soccer. I love kids that play soccer.
