So, let's be clear. You (voluntarily) come onto a chat forum and complain about a rule that was very clearly in place, complain about the rule, and the comments pointing that out?

    Did I capture that correctly?

It's a chat forum. Posters vent about the nonsense is that goes on in kid soccer. What I view as a pile of crap you lap up like an eager puppy. Clear enough?

The "ME" culture in effect right here.

You could've just avoided the whole scenario, but instead went into something with an eye on just breaking the rule. Real great for the rest of society. I guess we all should just start picking and choosing which rules to follow.

Doesn't matter if it's a dumb rule (it is) or not. It's the rule. Don't like it, don't play DA. It's just that simple. There's other options out there - all the rest in fact - that don't require you to give up HS soccer.

Civil disobedience. Resist in a peaceful but clear manner to make your case

Not that simple unless you are a simpleton.

If you broke the rules you deserve to be scolded. No sympathy for you cupcake.

and face the consequences if you violate the rule.

Whether or not a vast majority agrees with the rule doesn't matter, right? You do what's best for you, and your kid's pay the consequence.

                          Makes total sense.

Or, you just pick an option that allows you to do what you want.

Early resistance is always met with dismissive attitudes.

Yep, you are being dismissed right out of the program. But, you'll always have your principals....
