How did NYSC 18/19 do against Baltimore Armour last weekend? No score posted.

Parents need to let the kids figure out where they belong, not keep propping them up into places they earn for them off the field.
Okay, so your point is players will magically find the right team?

Do they get financial support from nycfc for wearing that brand?

Not the poster and I agree. It's not like they're getting this outstanding training at any DA club around here. We know the competition is not good. The NE region has five clubs in U19. FIVE! As an example NYSC U19 has 18 regular season games all year plus a few national events (but they I don't think they go to the spring showcase). With only five in the group they'll be playing some teams like Fury three times. Contrast that to 27 games for LA Galaxy, same age group. I could see doing GDA in other parts of the US like the SW, Frontier. Lots of good clubs and players out there.

You must have a quality HS program.

Does World Class FC rent space in your brain? Remember, this is the GDA Thread. Come on dad, move on, your daughter scored a goal this weekend. Finally

Nope but mediocre High School is free and your mediocre DA is expensive as F.

No you don't. Decent is good enough. If kids want to play HS just let them play. They can't get that time back, ever. Most of the time the positives well outweigh the negatives. If they're good players and want to play in college they can achieve that goal without GDA.

Boys is a different animal, but even then I'd say unless you're on an MLS team or a consistent starter with the few quality non MLS clubs, it probably isnt' worth it either.

If kids want to play HS they should. If kids want to improve they will train 4 days a week in a competitive setting. It really is up to how good the kid wants to be and how much they want to work for that. HS soccer is not going to get kids better. It may be fun though. You people focus too much on which patch is which. If you train half the time you won't be reaching your true potential.

this is an ignorant statement....there are many HS teams that are badd_ss with really great coaches with connections (brentwood, SA, Commack to name a few). Looks like you are the one with too much focus on the "patch".

FYI, all the girls on the WNT all played HS....every single one.

That is not surprising. Majority of players in this country play HS. A few rich ones skip it for club exclusively but the not most. The chances that the greatest talent and the greatest affluence match up is probably not that likely.
