Why is a wc u19 composite ecnl team a topic of conversation in a gda thread?

It was brought up by a (alleged) parent of a former DA player who chose to go to the ECNL Composite team instead of moving to another DA club. Presumably they want to argue that DA is better than ECNL Composite.

Got it. This argument is so tired. At that age it’s always hard to field good teams so it’s basically always a crapnshoot choosing clubs.

It was never a good team. Many are seniors so do they want to give up their last year of HS for that? I don't think the coach from last year is there either.

Fredy and Kaz were vague at best, actually they caved to the ECNL coaches, especially the 01/02 players, as Jeff did not want any of the NYCFC players on his team, which just goes to show how much of a little bitch he was, that WCFC team got far in the playoffs because so many ECNL players left for GDA.

It's ok, your daughter will be ok playing with the 04's and 05's in her senior year at NYSC. This is you trying to get composite team players to come over to NYSC...but nobody wants to play with your daughter. We know who you are.

Not many options given locations and clubs - go all the way to LI in rush hour for Fury or LISC? Ugh. PDA and Sta too far for many as well. No one is heading deep into CT for OW either. NYSC is the only closest option for players in that area.

Plus LISC can’t fit anymore players on their rosters. They are overloaded with talent now.

From what I've heard, the ones that left to another DA club mostly went to STA. There may have been others, but this is what I've heard was most common.
