Predictions
Ok that is a good fair value set of predictions, albeit a little self serving in terms of your forecast of GDA and BDA collapsing as you are against them for what is very likely envy or non participation.
BUT... lets entertain each one of those for a moment.
1. MLS is not forming their own bracket in BDA, but they are playing a role in tilting their matches to MLS teams and the stronger non MLS DA teams. Just look at the USSDA website and you see the DA cup schedule for 2019/20 and you will see MLS Academy teams playing more MLS Academy teams, AND other strong DA teams. So its a tiering but not MLS exclusive. This was destined to happen, and is a good thing for the entire league.
2. U-13 BDA will go away at the end of this upcoming season. I believe that to be true, it was voted to stay alive for the 19/20 season narrowly last season (so that the existing U12 DA teams continue on the DA path) But now that the U-12 this year won't be DA, they will eliminate U-13 next year and nobody lost anything. This makes complete sense, so this will be the last year of U-13 BDA. That said, I believe that U-14 DA will remain for many years to come, so we differ on that.
3. No chance clubs drop their BDA status. Zero chance of that, there are more applications in for BDA status then there are clubs allowed in the system. Nobody is leaving BDA... nobody! It will in fact continue to grow.
4. There is no realization about US Soccer not caring about people. Just take care of yourself and your family and stop asking others to hold your hand to the promise land. We are in charge of our lives and our families, not US Soccer. You can participate in their leagues and programs.... or not. Your choice. We are a free people.
5. By 2020, BDA and GDA will be LARGER than it is now. The two will continue to grow and become the National Standard for youth soccer. Fight that and you'll be standing in front of a train with momentum. Say what you will/want - this is the Elephant in the room and you're fighting it. Good luck with that.
