Even out west GDA teams struggled against ECNL teams this past weekend in head to head games at the Silverlakes Showcase and Surf Cup. ECNL owned GDA this weekend in a region that is supposed to be GDA dominant. Not a good look for GDA.

OK, here are my predictions
MLS forming their own bracket in BDA, little to no contact with 2nd tier clubs like NYSC, Oakwood, etc.
BDA will be eliminating the 13's and 14's by next year, Boys clubs will be dropping BDA by June due to the lack of support.
Clubs that have both BDA and GDA will come to the realization that US Soccer just doesn't care about them
GDA will fold September 2020, BDA the following year

The first prediction is already happening, and the 2nd prediction is already underway, so I can't really take credit for them

Southern California is supposed to be GDA dominant, meaning that the GDA teams should be cleaning up over there in that region. That the GDA teams did not clean up and got clearly outperformed in both Silverlakes and Surf is very telling. Those numbers mentioned were only for Silverlakes. If you look at the Surf Cup results, ECNL teams won 3 championships in the top bracket. GDA only won 1. Read the rest of the thread.

This tournament has no bearing on ny period. Especially LI. There are no good option in either league for most age groups so who cares about these tournaments.

I wouldn't put too much stock into a summer event. Most teams don't have their full regular rosters.

Doesn't matter if the rosters are regular or irregular. Tournament has no bearing on ny youth soccer
