Everyone wants to anonymously prove their kids are the bestest! Real warriors! If they hold it together and rally through it then that's great, good for them. But I think some posters are underestimating the emotional toil of all of this has had on the kids, none of it their fault.

do you still play competitive sports and go to practices? or is this vicarious?

Yes, I still play and want to win every game I'm in as I've crossed the 50-YO mark. I want to win every game, but don't want to participate in any blowouts. In the end, though, the beer's still cold.

Glad to see they are actually going. Last year, these teams bailed.

The 00/01 team is not going to California, again.

They're almost all seniors and if not should be recruited already. Why should they spend all that money and risk injuries right before college preseason starts? Notice how the U19 grouping is much smaller than the other age groups? There's a reason for that. As long as teams decide together I've no issue with it.

How do teams bail? If that is a real option it makes this league much more appealing and accessible to many players. Can teams play the league season without having to go to the west coats stuff?

Its a team game, and they have the obligation to go, sorry that’s inconvenient for you.

                      The TEAM isn't going.

Do you think USSF cares? The club is closing up shop. Parents don't want to pay, players don't want to get injured. They didn't go last year and no repercussions. USSF can go pound sand.

Personally, I would think that some of those seniors need some more minutes on the ball, some of them suck...

They can get a lot more practice in if they don't have to waste so much time and energy traveling across the country. That helps no one but the airline, hotel and travel agent.

True, but be honest. Most of those kids have checked out. They are in for a rude awakening in College

Seniors being mentally checked out in their final weeks of a team (and club that is folding) with proms, graduation etc is totally normal. They need to work their tails off during the summer following their program's workout protocols. Nearly all freshmen get a huge bi*ch slap when pre season starts. Then it becomes a matter of how well you step up to the challenge vs fold.

Normal? not so sure. Good idea? No. Something the elite players do? Not really. I agree that some players miss a few things, but this group has been non existent.
