Of course they are!! Its sunny and warm there more often then not. Duh! Players who live and train in warm weather states better be good, matter fact they better be GREAT - they have the conditions to do so! Stop trying to invalidate the fact that there are some players from this region who have gone on to big things in the sport at many different levels. Dammit, I know she's 40, but freaking Abby Wambach is from NY...Crystal Dunn....use Google and get your life together troll.

It doesn't
Shock. in every walk of life, truly elite is rare. its a meeting of natural talent, drive , determination and all sorts of other things. Very few are really blessed with that. Yet we have all sorts of leagues for girls proclaiming themselves filled with such players. The more they say it, the more some parents seem to believe it.
When reality hits, which it always does, you see bad teams with bad players . so parents start to blame the system for their own stupidity buying in. They say things like, dont expect to get any $$ from a college. well if this is elite soccer, surely the vast majority should be expecting that no? Or they blame the coaches for not turning an average player into a star. Or they complain about results. Or playing time etc.
Thats tiresome.

ECNL alums can’t compete with France and Germany. ECNL is the least development oriented league. This is the reason why GDA had to start.

As long as a league made up of "elite" players push back on everything that is truly needed to succeed, it's always going to be swimming upstream.
