My daughters 03 bracket was announced yesterday, oy-yev its gonna be rough, but at least they saved the best for last...Solar is a freaking machine, not even sure how they lost a game this year, probably played with 8 players, against the wind both halves, and the ref was horrible. They should be banned for being too good.

Are all NYCFC girls making the trip to playoffs? Wonder if some decide it's not worth missing the end of school for teams that won't exist next year?

If you're still in recruit mode of course you should go. Emotionally difficult but you need to grab opportunities when they're there.

Club is switching leagues, not vanishing. These leagues are so similar. Not worth any upset over if they are in this one or that one. Jif vs. Skippy......hard to tell the difference.

All teen players in both ecnl and gda and other leagues have been through this chaotic nonsense for a few years and it looks like it will continue. This is not unique to nycfc. Youth soccer is a big industry and it has little to do with any individual team or player. All these kids are just cogs in a machine. Take it one year or even season at a time and just be grateful if your kid is healthy and out on the field. If you have any expectations of a great situation, you are bound to be disappointed. Many nycfc players got a really good year or two which is more then most clubs ever offer.

There are lots of crap situations in clubs using the"gda" model or any other league model. All these leagues want to choose a spot for your player based on the league. Buyer beware.

Depends on what age group your talking about. 05/06 & 04 teams are keeping 90% of their players. No major losses and the WC teams in this age group will be strong. The 03/02 team lost a few more players, but the WC team picked up a lot of 03 PDA, NYSC and Matchfit players. None of the players leaving will be missed
