Are all our NY GDA teams going out to San Diego? Any teams not going because of testing or not enough players? Asking because we were told that we HAVE to go, even though our U14's really aren't in a playoff

It is absurd to send 13 year olds to CA that aren't in contention. They just had CO. That's sufficient enough to give them a flavor of the big show - or next year flip it so they only do CA and make showcases only about recruiting ages.

People that can't tolerate the absurd have no business in high level youth soccer. Much of it is absurd.

You have the tolerate the absurd stuff to access the non absurd stuff. But it does not mean you can't discuss the absurd part on a soccer forum.

That a bit dramatic. There are lots of imperfections in youth soccer that are discussed here. Misery is a bit over the top.
