Coaches tend to want to work with good players. Good players also tend to work hard and accept coaching. Thats how they become good. There is usually a reason kids are where they are on the scale and most often, it starts with the kid. Its just easier for parents to blame someone else.

Whatever that player is getting out of the game, i sure the biggest input is what SHE puts in. Without that the rest is pointless. Parents should really watch THEIR OWN kids and ask the hard questions
1. Does she enjoy it ?
2. Is she working hard ?
3. Does she belong at this level ? Dont measure that vs the lowest level player on the team, but vs the best.
I think that at least half the kids i see in the ECNL and GDA would be better served not playing at that level. If Parents where honest we would have far fewer issues

1. its actually not high level
2. we happen to be in a rare sport where the majority can be high level.
ill go for number one
there is nothing wrong with NOT making a high level team if it truly is that. What is laughable is parents willingness to accept the term elite because their kid makes it without really looking at the actual standard.
Wake up. so many are being taken for a ride

there are players simply not treated as well as the ordained "special" a/k/a your "good" player despite workinmg their butts off and simply aren't given the same opportunity as your "good" player. Hard work should be rewarded by all.
They should not put players in starting line and give substantial playing time when they miss practice, etc.
