Slicing and dicing all the kids into as many teams and leagues as possible benefits the business. Every club and leagues can make and market any claims they want on and on and on. Never playing means there is no ammunition available to possibly damage reputations or business.

The market looks exactly this way because the customers demand it. there have to be lots and lots of elite roster spots for the dozens upon dozens of elite players to fill.
Bingo. the only part i dont agree with is

Never playing means there is no ammunition available to possibly damage reputations or business.

there is plenty of ammunition, but the Clubs have realized that parents dont look at it. they think wins = success.

so maybe Im agreeing with you !!

What division will LISC be playing in next year? Atlantic still or are they being shifted back to NE?

So the old strategy of divide (into many leagues and teams) and conquer (business is booming) is good for business! AND greed is good!

So, good friend of mine kid plays at Alby DA. He said they were told they can play HS if they want. If they don’t want they can just do DA. I asked, are they having trouble getting kids to tryouts. He said his daughter said hardly anyone is going to trials and the ones that went probably couldn’t make their HS team. So, with their DAs having issues with numbers and telling the kids they can play HS - how will this play out? Seems, so far they haven’t added too many and rumors are kids are leaving or inquiring to leave.

Playing HS is only allowed for private school kids with approved waivers. Telling kids they can play means they are desperate. If they're willing to lie to USSF don't think they're not going to lie to the players. If they let them play HS they risk multiple game losses and sanctions by USSF. If they lie to players then in the fall, "oops sorry no HS" they lose a lot of players.

I guess your kid is in private school?

Not at all and even if she were why would that matter? Its how it works. Legit waivers are only for private school kids. They have to be approved by USSF. Beware any club that tells you otherwise or uses the add-on loophole to get players they want

No. She plays in a public school. I know it’s odd.

Not odd, just not allowed. If people want a club that will bend the rules for some kids but not others, it's your bed to lie in. Don't be surprised when vipers start crawling over you.

I’m wondering why the federation doesn’t look at these boards for intel and doesn’t pursue even the rumors. All they have to do is cross reference rosters and look at high school rosters or newspapers.
